Rooey compares this season to 2002

Post: # 1440090Post saintspremiers »

Article on saints.com.au

It's a bit rich to compare to 2002.

We had had 2 years at the bottom and a couple of priority picks. It's a shame they publish filler rubbish like that.

Nice that you call our captain a liar.

I would wager considering he was there in 2002, and is there in 2014, he would have more of an idea than you would.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

2000 and 2001 we finished bottom or second bottom.

How did we fare in 2012 and 2013?

Did we get priority picks in those years like 2000/01?

Just stating facts. I'm not calling him a liar, it's media spin. You know that.

Wasn't he referring to the generational change and the changing role of senior players when this is happening?
