Beau Maister back in seniors from his mystery absence last week.

Spencer White still in Dev Squad.

Murdoch not named again.

Jason Holmes named in Dev Squad and not on extended seniors bench.

Joe Baker Thomas dropped to the Dragons.

So I wonder how many marks Maister the waster will take.
Will he dominate?

Is White that hopeless he's not yet worthy of a game in the Sandy 1's?

Yes I know there is a quota system but maybe he's a dud.

Had average game in round 1 and got himself suspended for round 2. Came back last week and average again. With Maister back this week aswell it didnt help him coming up, although form doesnt warrant it anyway.

I hate the word 'lazy' - which i reckon is lazy to use in itself because its a simplification.

My suspicion though is he is not single minded on his footy at all. Maybe he thinks the world of music festivals and university and drinks with his mates is a better world to be in. I dont know the bloke. But sometimes when ur that age u think the non-footy world is pretty cool - when in reality the 'real world' and real jobs are mostly crap. Just not sure the penny has dropped that he can make a career in footy and then do all the fun stuff in his 30s and not have to work a crappy job for the rest of his life. I think its hard for a 19yo to comprehend this. As i said i dont know the bloke - but dunno if he is living and breathing footy and making the most of his opportunities like say a Tom Curren does.

But we sit back and watch and wait and see what unfolds.

Is white playing in the 1s?? Surely they can find a spot for him. Important part of our future with a lot of talent.

There hasn't been much free flowing play but Dunny was good in the first quarter. Milera has done some nice things as has Bull. Sandy is dominating Casey.

Do they call Simpkin "Head"? Sounded like it.

Yep - the call Simpkin 'head'.

Good to hear the BULL has been let out of the pen!

I get the feeling he's one of those guys whose talent alone has been enough to get him through to this point. The problem now is that the AFL (and VFL to a degree) is full of players with talent. However, that on it's own isn't enough to get you any further. He needs to improve his workrate and play like his life depends on it.
It's why guys like Clint Jones get a game and players like Spencer don't.

Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.
