I thought Footy Classified gave StKilda more credit than On The Couch.

No credit at all given to Stkilda there, especially Mike Sheahan who is always dismissive of the Saints, even during out successfull years.

All he talked about was the players Freo were missing and Freo letting their guard down etc.

The Saints were missing just as many.

At least four of our top 22 out (Steven, Geary, Hickey, Gilbert) plus Dempster off in the first few minutes.

That's not the point. The point is we had a really good game for a team in our position both ladder wise and talent wise and we virtually don't get a mention. There were only 5 games played this weekend and they still couldn't mention us. Obviously most of the commentators like us to fail is all I can glean from that.

I think you answered your own question. We are 18th and cant play finals. Im pretty sure back in 09 and 10 we got plenty of publicity. No idea why most of the commentators would want us to fail. Still read on heard plenty about our win since we won.

Don't bother with the footy shows these days for most of the reasons discussed. Last night I watched the replay, which was fantastic. The commentators were really excited for us, and the excitement continued past the final siren. It was fantastic. Even Eddie was enjoying it.
