No Pressure Jack

IF ST Kilda first-year player Jack Billings doesn't concede a free kick in the final four games he'll set a quirky record.

According to Champion Data no player has completed a season since 1999 with more than 13 games next to their name without conceding a free kick.

Amazingly Billings has not conceded a free kick in his first 15 games.

He wears No.15, been paid 15 free kicks, averages 15 disposals (well, 14.7 if you want to use a decimal point) and kicked 15 behinds in his first 15 games.

But he has not given away a free kick.

We met him just before the season started and I thought he would be 2 years off getting a game. He looked like he was in year 7 not AFL size. How far he has come with the frame he has is outstanding. He must be a brave little guy...I would hate to see what someone like Chapman could do to him.

I don't know now but preseason he looked extremely nervous and shy. Didn't look unhappy and was very polite and well mannered. Hopefully he's bonding with a few guys because at the end of the day that relationship building makes the biggest contribution to how positive their experience is.
