Is he mentally impaired?
Just watching the replay, he is really hard to listen to...
The Sydney arse-licking makes watching nearly unbearable, it's bad enough getting flogged without every single contest being barracked for Sydney. Normal 50/50 contests he consistently remarks how incredible they have gone.

Mistook Jack Steven for Armo. Good grief! He's renowned for it. If it's not one of the WA teams, he doesn't appear to have a clue. As a professional commentator, you'd expect better. Glad somebody finally started a thread on dear Basil. He is the most irritating commentator in the business and, for the life of me, I can't understand what Ch 7 see in him. He reminds me of an annoying kid that I went to school with. He was an Essendon supporter who new nothing about football but talked with all the knowledge of a, well, Basil Zempilas!
Everyone used to line up to belt that kid. If nothing else Basil brings back good memories. Now I am going outside to punch a wall!
