Big congrats to the Club and Eli, definitely a keeper - Goal sneak, future cult figure
if he isn't already.

Is he our Robbie Gray? Small bodied, highly skilled, very late draft pick/rookie pick?

Bizarre. Robbie Gray kicked 55 goals in the TAC cup and was working as a meat cutter. Somehow or another he slipped to pick 55.
Very very strange.

But yeah - A lot to like about Eli.

The thing I liked about Eli is that he looked like he belonged. In one of his games he had a set shot from between 40-45 and never looked like he was going to miss. Could be the real bargain of the draft for us.

Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.

Yeah I remember that. Confidence is such a huge asset, in football and life.

Played more games off the rookies list than spence has in 2 years on the main list I guess.

Maybe my memory is shot, but I wasn't blown away by Eli, had good energy and footy smarts, but I certainly haven't seen enough yet to think he'll be a gun. Early days of course.

Didn't get a heap of footy but that would partly be due to playing forward. From what I recall he showed he's a one-touch player with very good skills and decision making. His production will increase with extra fitness and opportunity up the ground. He's a good 'un.

Glad Eli has more time on the Saints list to recover and notch up more games.
Hope Eli has a good run with games and no more darn injuries.
Looking forward to seeing more of the spark in 2015.

Well Done Eli.

G O S A I N T S !

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

Eli will only survive if he learns to win lots and lots of footy each week.

For that, he needs to
- Improve his endurance.
- Kick with penetration, not hit high, loopy balls.
- Go inside and outside (similar to the player Chance Bateman evolved into in his final years. Tough but fast. Forget the hair.)
- Build his core strength.
- Spend some period as a tagger, to learn from the best.

All things he's capable of doing, if he wants it bad enough, and I think he does.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

It was his first year and the guy is very thin.

Add some experience and some muscle and... LOOK OUT! Eli is gonna' be a ripper!

PS: Eli, please do not cut that hair! (Panther... grow it back!)
