AFL Website Summary
Looks like Pick 1 is going to be traded:
Draft picks (first three rounds): 1, 21, 38
Gone: James Gwilt, Lenny Hayes, Clint Jones, Beau Maister, Trent Dennis-Lane and Sam Dunell
What they need: A young key forward to eventually take the reins from Nick Riewoldt. The Saints have hit the mark with their midfield recruits and the time is right to snag a goalkicker.
Whispers: The Saints are keen to enter the draft with three picks inside the top 21, so expect them to trade to make that happen. Pick No.1 is on the table and could be dealt in exchange for two first-round picks. The club has also met with GWS youngster Kristian Jaksch, who is seeking a return to Victoria in search of more opportunities.
Dream trade: The Saints send pick No.1 to GWS in exchange for pick No.3, pick No.20 and Jaksch. They can still recruit young tall Patrick McCartin with pick No.3, GWS gets its man Christian Petracca at No.1, and the Saints have three picks inside the top 21. - Nathan

Re: AFL Website Summary
Certainly not my dream trade because it will be pick 4 and certainly doesn't guarantee McCartin. Pick 20 could be rubbish or ok. I would think, without looking way less than half pick 20's play less than 100 games.
Re: AFL Website Summary
melbourne more likely to draft maccartin and wright with picks 2 and 3...the op is crap....
gws won't have pick three
gws won't have pick three

Re: AFL Website Summary
We don't need marque players only top clubs need them...
Happy to keep Melbourne company for another 10 years.
To get supporters back to the games we need excitement machines..lets give up the possibility of one for fringe players with a little potential but still can't get regular games

Re: AFL Website Summary
We'll have a much better idea of what's happening at 2pm on the 17th of October..
That's when the trade period closes..
Until then, there's almost 3 more weeks of possibilities...

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Fyfe is excellent, K Cornes has been very good, a few other good players but mostly duds. About 1 in 3 play 100 games.

due respect to Paige, her thing is the TAC and the recruits and potential draftees. In that she has been pretty good, a bit like an amateur Emma Quayle.
Doubt if she would have any inside knowledge on trades though, although from what I have read she doesn't tweet unless she has been given something.

Re: AFL Website Summary
I think she has has it all over Emma Quayle if you compare their previous 'phantom drafts'. I'm also not convinced how 'professional' Quayle is when she got her start writing the Bombers newsletter. Maybe Emma is a bit luckier or a bit better connected or something. Anyway - lets say they are both equally good and be diplomaticBunk_Moreland wrote:matrix wrote:yeah looked at cadonna of whoever she is
