I always respected Leigh Fisher as a hard working player who gave our club 100% with whatever talent he had. He had rotten luck with injuries, but never complained, just got on with it. Personally, I wish the guy all the very best in his endeavours to retain being a part of the AFL code. His umpiring decisions on Friday, may have been less than we wanted, and maybe he had a bad night, but my respect for the MAN remains firmly in place. Give the guy a break, and allow for the fact that he's still (in umpiring terms) a rookie!
Anyone who refers to him as a "maggot", with anything other than a wink and their tongue firmly in their cheek, (IMHO) should really reconsider their words.
