Here is my $5.00

Post: # 1541205Post Sainter_Dad »

Wanted:

Non St Kilda supporting young lawyer fresh out of law school.

Mission:
To review each and every game that we play, minute by minute, with an eye to the interpretation of the laws of the game, and to review both the frees paid and more importantly, those not paid.

Objective:
To educate St Kilda on their obvious deficiencies with respect to the way we approach football

I do not care if the review comes back and says that the umpires were 100% correct, we have to do something about the free kick situation.

If, however, it is eventually determined that the umpiring against us is obviously flawed, this may give us some ammunition to approach the AFL in a calm and rational way.

Where does my $5.00 come into it - 32,000 members @ $5.00 - $160,000.00 - a decent salary for a young lawyer looking to make a name in Sports Law!

I thought our guys were really sloppy. Even senior guys like chips caught holding on a few occasions.

Because if the umpires had given us more frees then we might only have lost by 50 points. Might not seems like much but if we miss out on the top four by .00001% it's huge.
Agree though. I saw a couple frees for high contact that I thought were wrong but nothing that was obvious bad.

Leigh Fisher is a good umpire. The problem is we turn the ball over, sometimes under no pressure at all, perceived or otherwise.

I'll do it for $150,000.

Cash only, in advance.

That's a $10,000 discount. A real bargain.

We've got an engineer on the board. That bloke from Shell - Russel Caplan. He can sort it out.
