Great win by Melbourne

Post: # 1558159Post maverick »

That to me is the best way barrack for better draft picks.
We play well, win a few but the teams around us win one more (and not against us)….
And no wooden spoon

Melbourne will be peaking when we peak and they have some brilliant young talent. They won today without Hogan Salem Petracca, and some older guys like Trengove. They will be very tough competition in 2017 and beyond.

It sounds like you want us to lose more games than Melbourne.

We play well, win a few and don't need to hope we lose, we aren't good enough to win more than 6 games this year and we won't.
I hope Melbourne win 7
It's not hard.

I hope we win as many games possible. I would rather we had more wins if the only cost is draft pick position.

i'd rather finish above melbourne. then they can take the dud ahead of our pick if they are true to long-term form.

is this an intentional insulting of anothers intelligence.
... its pretty simple stuff .

in fact Melbourne dont actually need to win more games that we do ,
though it'd be helpful (an earlier draft choice) if their percentage was better than ours ,
at the end of the season.

The only ones insulting people's intelligence are those who want to limit our wins to two more for the season but won't say they want us to lose games.

Let's hope the Saints this year win all their close ones, don't get smashed in any tough ones, and absolutely ace whichever draft pick(s) they get as a reward for a good season.

Was the question too hard? Are you just taking it one loss at a time?

I don't think we will win the flag this year.

Did you see how easy it was just to answer a direct question?

Let me take this slowly for you.

There are 11 games left.

We have won four.

You want us to finish with six wins.

To do this, we need to lose 9 of 11.

Which nine games do you want us to lose? If it's easier, tell us which games you want us to win.

I said I want us to win exaclty 6 games did?....geez.....thats a bit.....I'll need to re think that number then.

You pick the games...I mean....youre the one hung up on having to win every week right now aka Pluggs......cause if we dont we'll become Carlton? or lose sponsors? or no FA will ever come to us or.....or.........
Youre the one telling us all that the difference (and it may well be) between 1 additional win and having a pick for a player like Parish is worth it.....even though it sint sustainable or measurable.......
you pick......and take it as slowly as you like!

The silly ways you twist the argument to avoid answering a question.

You will never answer it honestly. Never mind, it doesn't matter. What matters is that that attitude of preferring your team to lose doesn't spread to a noticeable percentage of Saints fans.

I'm sure you'll be cheering with the rest of us once we've got our team full of stars and we can just start winning all the games then win all the premierships then be the champions forever. It'll be good to have a few extra members like you on the bandwagon to maximise our next dominant period. You can even tell the folks next to you how you helped to pave the way for all our success and of the backwards folks like me who called you a tanker.

If only the players had the luxury of choosing when to put in for their club.

Amongst all the dodging and weaving, clichés and childish insults you actually made a statement and you can't remember it. Well here it is.

Subject: Great win by Melbourne

Can we quote you on that?

He does make the occasional comment. Its whether you can be bothered going through all his ducking and weaving to find it. Im sure there will be a personal insult or another excuse for that comment.
