Adam Basil
I know I've harped on this a few times before but kudos must go to Adam and the fitness staff. Have run out nearly every game this year and most of the injuries aren't soft tissue.
On another note I can't remember an afternoon I had so much fun!

Done a fabulous job, unsung hero of StKFC. This is the fittest Saints team I have seen in many years, especially when you take the bruising style int account!

Re: Adam Basil
Yep. Massive ups. No injuries and fit as fiddles. Well done to Bas and the team.
For some very weird reason someone potted him on here earlier this year. Cant recall who but surely a tail between legs post if ever there was one.

Another part of the Saints absolutely nailing everything. Must keep it up for years and push for the flag.

Re: Adam Basil
Agree Tony I was critical early when we were having so many hamstring injuries, but kudos now they have done a great job!

Reminded me of the game against the dons that we had to win by a fair margin to get into the finals. We flogged them.Loved both games. A win beats a lose hands down tankers.tony74 wrote:I know I've harped on this a few times before but kudos must go to Adam and the fitness staff. Re: Adam Basil
I noted criticism of Basil earlier in the year, when a few hammy's occurred and there was a wiff of unhappiness about Basil.
As they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. To me, the boys are looking the fittest they have been in years. Let's now see how this long year impacts on young bodies and hope that good management by Basil, wins out.

Ex Melbourne Victory physio, isn't he?
USELESS FACT: The WADA case against Essendon (in Sydney as well) is exactly 10 years to the day that Australia qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Indeed. The are really fit for such a young group. They appear to be a couple of years ahead in their physical development.

Sure is. I was one of the angry mob with all the pre season hammies. As soon as I heard Basil was in charge I knew the injuries were just bad luck.IanRush wrote:Ex Melbourne Victory physio, isn't he?
