Welcome back Saints- preseason begins

Post: # 1589763Post saintbrat »

Monday 9th November for the 1-4 year players and a couple of others...... JC
Freeman, 20, who along with Carlisle was acquired by the Saints during November's trade period, will be on a modified program when St Kilda's first-to-fourth year players head back to training on Monday.
Freeman is yet to play an AFL game, having endured a horrendous run with hamstring injuries during his time at Collingwood, going back to the opening game of the 2014 NAB Cup. Despite being unable to start the pre-season with the main group, the Saints expect Freeman to be ready for round one.

although we have seen many of the ' mature' players who are not due back for anything from 2 - 4 weeks are still keeping fit.
and Joey and Nick will be in New York - then Ireland.

I thought they got 8 weeks leave. Seems more like 10 for the oldies plus 2 weeks over Xmas/New Year?

Acres looks strong and fit. This guy is really powerful though the hips. He's only shown glimpses, but I'm really confident he can become a very damaging player.

I thought Richo was called the head coach because he was in charge. But it seems they're organised by body parts.

Newnes won both (I think they mentioned this in the article on Saints website). Not sure how the rest finished.

Usually at Seaford, and outside between 10 and 12. But it does change depending. Trained in the sun this morning with lots of hard running and ball skills. As in previous years they're all super fit. Hate to put the mocka on them but Blake and Seb have come back in top nick. As has Nathan.
They did probably 10 continuous 400 m sprints with a minute slow jogging in between where they ALL had to get through in under 60 seconds. Mission accomplished. Paddy is still having a slight problem with his levels but compared to last year he's 200% better.
Jake gave lots of encouragement to the boys.
