Congratulations to Holmes. Good ploy, think it will keep the pressure on Hickey & Longer. Spots up for grabs now.shrodes wrote:http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-03-24/m ... -round-one
Well done to the man, no doubt been a long journey.

I thought he played the game out well in the last against Melbourne - and also watched and noted his second efforts

He needs to start getting possessions around the ground.sunsaint wrote:that might be true - but I reckon he has passed both as no1 tap ruckmanmagnifisaint wrote:Now it's time for him to learn and find the pillloris wrote:Congratulations to Holmes. Watching the Collingwood American Cox he was able to mark over his head but I haven't seen Jason do that yet.
One year will be our year

I've seen Holmes take a hanger
So he can mark... How many marks has Cox taken?

Quite a few in the NADS Challenge this year!BigMart wrote:I've seen Holmes take a hanger

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
Re: Holmes upgraded to senior list
How many??
I don't reckon he took too many... He plays a fair bit as a stay at home forward... And he did in the VFL too... He takes the odd catch, but also gets exposed on the way out. Last year Delaney took him apart in the VFL.

Cox, Nads, what sort of game is this ?Bernard Shakey wrote:Quite a few in the NADS Challenge this year!BigMart wrote:I've seen Holmes take a hanger

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
Re: Holmes upgraded to senior list
Wonder if this means they will be cautious with Longer coming back. He had a full shoulder reconstruction and only started back full contact training not long ago.

I love Holmes's Tap work and his follow up work. He always looks eager to be involved and he'll get better and better at reading the play and finding the short cuts around a footy ground. Welcome to the senior list champ.

Well Done Jason Holmes... another step closer
Great news and a vote of confidence for the big fella from the Windy City. Jason sounds like a real professional and this could really help him along.
I love the Jason Holmes story. Wishing Jason all the very best for 2016.

Re: Holmes upgraded to senior list
And well deserved. It could be very handy to have a third ruck available. As someone suggested above; he just needs to learn how to read the play in order to get more possessions of the ball. Could be a great asset in the marking contest. Hopefully he keeps learning fast from our already established rucks and from watching the likes of Nic-Nat.
