I don't think he said anything unfair or controversial in that article?
Basically taking responsibility for not being ready to coach and that he shouldn't have been hired by the club.

Heard him this morning.
Rang Bomber Thompson and asked if he was interested in knifing Knights in the back. Said he was interested but not at the moment.
When the knifing came it was Thompson loading the gun, and Hird firing them into Knights back.
Timmid thought that Thompson would be doing the assassination and be coach and Hird would be the accessory to the Knight whacking.
Turns out that not only did Hird do the contract hit on Knights, but then on the whole of the EFC including 34 players.

And really, he has been quite humble about the whole situation ever since.
