Not watching it tonight as I don't subscribe to Murdoch Vision. Will be interesting to hear what his response is if Mike asks him which club that he played with he feels a stronger allegiance with. He said he regarded himself more a Blue than a Saint not long after his retirement. Considering he is currently one of Richo's assistants, he may have to flip-flop on that one.

I always thought that was more of an Anti-Ross Lyon thing than anything else. It's no secret that Aaron was pushed rather than jumping into reitrement. Not that I'm saying that was right or wrong. Soon as RL left though, he came straight back to Moorabbin

It was a rubbish interview.

Hamill gave absolutely nuthin'.

I don't know why he even bothered to do it, if he was going to play such a straight bat on everything. It was like listening to a kid being grilled by his teacher and trying his best not to dob his mates in.

Great assessment.

said he was more of a saint these days, but still loves carscum.

I actually blame Sheahan for conducting a s*** interview. Sammy didn't ask the questions and all Sheahan was interested in doing was putting s*** on him for the way he played and for leaving a top club for the saints.
Did not even venture into his current job or the young saints Sammy is now coaching.

Forward coach. Not doing so well.
Apart from 3 games, the rest are rubbish.
Go back to Lygon St and lets get a proper forwards coach.

I enjoyed it. and understand why he would want to keep certain things close to his chest and I respect him for it. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall of the lift with Elliot and Sammy :)

He's not about to pay or rat anyone out while he's still working in the AFL system. He might need a new job in September.

Meant that like the rest of us, he'll need a new job sometime.

I also found it to be an engaging discussion. I don't think he really had that much to hide. I mean all he refrained from saying was "John Elliot was fat bastard who turned me off playing for Carlton."

What tough player he was. Apart from the sling tackle on Jay Schultz, he was a fair, hardened and unrelenting player in the contest. Would have loved him to have gone another 100 games.

He was a joy to watch, he was worthy of being the Captain (no disrespect to Roo), a real gun. I have no doubt he's had a lot to do with Bruce's rise as a forward and love the fact that he's in our coaching group. Under his stewardship he will develop forwards that terrify & intimidate opponents in the least. No better person to teach Paddy McCartin how to impose himself (other than the great Plugger) on a defence in a physical & devastating way.

If it weren't for his bloody knee injury ending his career prematurely, we very probably would have gone back to back in 09/10.

In fact, I think that if Paddy does learn to impose himself as Hamill did, then it will be a case of move over Hogan, Buddy, etc, the best full forward since Plugger has arrived.

Yeah apart from him not agreeing with the captaincy rotation, it was nothing but respect and admiration for him. The GT and Butterss feud was about the worst thing to happen at the club over that period.
