FB Page says Devs lost 7.9.51 to 12.9.81, but not sure who played. No report yet.

Tweet on Saints website says Sandy lead by 15 at HT. Team sheet shown there- Freeman not playing. Do not know if he played in Dev team, but on VFL website was not listed as best or goalkicker.

Looks like Freeman was in the dev team. Didn't make the best or kick any goals. I assume he's going at 50% to protect his hammies and get some continuity? http://www.foxsportspulse.com/round_inf ... 4-0&pool=1

Earlier in the year he came back, got 40 odd possessions and reinjured his hammy.

There's an article on the tigers official web site about them aiming for a top 4 spot and loading up this week for a big win

The 4 big guys dropped from the seniors this week would have tipped the scales in their favour.

Don't think their seniors were a priority this week and played accordingly.

He reinjured his hammy at training... Not during that game, he was selected the following week initially.

I've watched him very closely since his return... I think it's 6 games in a row now.

He has been very underwhelming, ordinary at best with his skill and effort... At either level.

But as I've said before, judgement is referred to 2017 on him... Anyone else, he'd be delisted clearly on his output. He is ATM a poor mans Josh Saunders.

At the VFL today hoping to get a cheer up after watching the crap served up yesterday

No, I wasn't made feel any better about current footy after watching a bucket of s*** today.

The structure of footy played by boring AFL coached structure robots who have no freedom to express their skills in a game which actually looks like watching Auskick... With the continual stoppages and numbers either around the ball or in defense.
The game is actually hard to watch!!!
80% of the game is played around the boundary, with players refusing to come inboard or even present inboard in fear of turning the ball over and getting scored against. Safety first, defense first, kick to safety in numbers ... It's pathetic
Players look to handball, and often must handball as there is no structure in front of the footy
Forwards are asked to just compete and then defend in outnumber situations... Instead of being allowed to contest one out.
Mids kick purposely to the forward pocket in hope it can be forced out for a ball in... To stop the chance of a rebound
The size of the press is ridiculous!!!

With 3 minutes to go... 9 points down... In the wet
First option to hug the boundary and then create stoppages
Coaching is embarrassing... Players are bordering on being footy dumb!!!

Sandringham have a disgraceful conversion
Because of the way they enter 50 and where they have shots from... Never seen such an inept forward system in my life

Poor
Sinclair (body language), Longer (just can't get a kick) Delaney (just very average) Murdoch, Curren, Rice

Ok
NOK, Lee (mixed bag), Eli (just)

Can't recall other off the top of my head

I totally agree, the game has become an eye saw when watching it live. The TV seems to sanitize the product, but the AFL needs to seriously look at the rolling mall the game has become.

Thank you Bigmart.

Sandy blew it big time today.
Bit like the seniors yesterday we were all over them at times but no forward structure = no goals.
Could not buy a goal in that last quarter. Admittedly the conditions were so bad my jocks and socks were soaking wet. But there seemed no structure or purpose to our forward thrusts.

From pre season premiership favourites we are now just making up the numbers in the finals.

Yeah that makes sense.

I think many AFL clubs often prioritise lesser comps like the VFL over things like being seen as a club being on the comeback, playing an attractive brand on football, being a desirable club for talented players to want to trade to etc.

From what I understand, Richmond have been prioritising Coburg for about 6 weeks now. That's why players like Dusty, Rance etc have played there so much. No pressure on coach Hardwick this week that's for true

It's like Alan Jeans, Kevin Sheedy and Alistair Clarkson repeatedly say: the measure of a good team is the number of reserve premierships and final appearances you have.

saynta is absolutely right!

Richmond's season in the AFL was well and truly over. They want their VFL team to play finals to see what they have for next year. Sandy squandered opportunities but were outplayed today.

The way things are looking we could be watching a replay at TBBO in two weeks.

No

A squib is someone who abuses someone from a safe distance... Something you have done!

Why have you bitten your tongue?... You are allowed to go on an abusive rant against me if you like?!

The mods allow that on SS because you're able to quote.

But make sure you read what you quote a bit more closely.

Squib? Been called many things... But never that... You must a been a hard man on field?!

White will play his first Saints game next Sunday.
Lewis and Tom Lee will also get a gig.

Eli should be traded along with Shenton and Murdoch, if anyone wants them.
