Ladder watch round 16
Currently 6th due to the Dees lucky win.
If Port win we drop to 7th.
If Eagles win by less than about 20 points, we stay sixth. (They need to win by 17 + 1.04 x port's score
On the other hand if Port win we are a game and percentage ahead of ninth.

Re: Ladder watch round 16
I was really hoping Carlton would beat Melbourne which would have given us a game clear of Melbourne.
With two out injured by halftime it was always unlikely.

Unfortunately the Dreamons are a good side and Christ do they let you know about it. Love to beat them in a final

A draw would also leave us sixth. Currently level.

Re: Ladder watch round 16
HUGE GAME next week.
A win against the dopers puts us 12pts clear of them and almost rules a line through their season...
On top of that, it can potentially put us 8 clear of Sydney if they drop to GWS which is every chance and a game ahead of Melbourne if they drop to the crows.
With a bit of luck the Bulldogs and Eagles drop to Carlton and Freo (unlikely I know) but then we have some slack for the finals

If we play Melbourne in the finals, we can hopefully get a different result to the time they beat us in the first final 2006.WellardSaint wrote:it's lost on me, to be honestthejiggingsaint wrote:Yes! Payback for 2006(?)

Fascinating run home for us. I may not have the order right but we play:
- Essendon
- Sydney
- Port
- West Coast
- Melbs
- North
- Richmond
Our destiny is definitely in our own hands.

Massive game
We'll now have to play with greater expectation - can we handle it in a big game that does matter??
We'll find out

Re: Ladder watch round 16
Indeed, as North is the only team in that list that we are not competing with to make the 8, and not all of those teams can make it. So we need to be winning to keep us in front of them.suss wrote:Fascinating run home for us. I may not have the order right but we play:

Our destiny is definitely in our own hands.
In particular we can help kill off the chances of the Dons or WCE in displacing us by defeating them.

They barely beat Carlton who were 2 players down in the second half.bigcarl wrote:Unfortunately the Dreamons are a good side and Christ do they let you know about it. Love to beat them in a final

Carlton aren't bad either. Well coached and a fair bit of experienced and young talent. Watch out for them over the next few seasons.SaintPav wrote:They barely beat Carlton who were 2 players down in the second half.bigcarl wrote:Unfortunately the Dreamons are a good side and Christ do they let you know about it.
