Re: Paddy Extends contract
Positive or Negative. Nobody knows at this stage.
Andrew McGrath has already played 21 games.
Jacob Weitering 42. Tom Boyd 49. Christian Petracca 39.
Paddy just needs to stay out on the field for a season.

Re: Paddy Extends contract
Nobody knew at recruitment he would be severely injury prone.
We all hoped he would succeed greatly.
The club believes he had more character than Petracca.
It doesn’t matter really what we think the club does what it does. Signing a 4th year player for cheap hoping he comes good is ok. But I do wish we had some smarts and traded him this past year if we could have gotten anyone at 50–75 games for him.
I wish him well but I can guarantee ( based on my superior knowledge ) he will not survive 2018.

Re: Paddy Extends contract
I reckon the short Paddy highlight package out out by the club should be reminder enough as to Paddy's talent. He has great hands and is an elite field kick. Footy smarts troweled on; really hope a little luck goes his way this year. Despite the knockers on this forum, Paddy stringing games together this season is the key to our success.

Just some expressing concerns about his concussions.

Re: Paddy Extends contract
Guess we will find out by the end of 2020 regarding Paddy. He has 3 years to show his stuff and make a career out of it. He has been in the system the same time so the end of 2020 will be a good barometer.

Re: Paddy Extends contract
I still reckon try him a swing player for a while. As a back he will get a better understanding of how the ball comes in and hopefully teach him how defender attack the ball and the forwards thus teaching him how to defend himself. Plus he is a better field kick than goal kicker so I think it would help his game. I am not saying play a whole game there but a bit of time at the back every other game would be beneficial.

fullback at sandy for half a year sounds fair enough.

Bump!
Enjoy reading.
Good on the boys manager for negotiating this contract.

Yeah, good move Saints. Joffa: you should try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud, instead of being jealous and bitter since Brad Scott was appointed Saints coach.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Mon 22 Jan 2018 12:46am Good move Saints, more young talent putting pen to paper once again.
Nothing to do, but get behind Paddy Saints fans.
