Good call, Con.....be interesting to see him develop. See Jacob at Champion Data made the comment tonight that Rebuilds take 7 Years not 5. So not looking too bad at all....Con Gorozidis wrote:Exciting to see him get a few kicks. Well done son.
Apparently we were the second youngest side last week so that will continue.

Everyone in and around footy knows that rebuilds take 7 years and deep deep finals in 8th 9th or 10th year.Simon Templar wrote:Good call, Con.....be interesting to see him develop. Would be a good result if he could snag a few as an old fashioned stay-at-home full forward.The_President wrote:Dropping Paddy would be a horrible call. Any forward would struggle with that delivery.
Stop trying to play him like Riewoldt. Sit him in the square and tell him that he’ll be dropped if he crosses the half way line.
He’s a big boy. Geelong’s backline if absolutely decimated. Mackie & Lonergan retired. Taylor & Henderson are injured.
Bring some people into the side that can kick it TO him and just give him some space
We may be heading for a top three pick if things don't turn around pretty damn soon.BackFromUSA wrote:Everyone in and around footy knows that rebuilds take 7 years and deep deep finals in 8th 9th or 10th year.Simon Templar wrote:Good call, Con.....be interesting to see him develop. Actually do some simple maths.
Roo and Kosi first played in 2001. Joined by early draft pick midfielder thereafter. The experienced players around then disappeared by 2008 with banger being last to go. Roo, Kosi, Dal, BJ, Ball etc lead the team to 2 Grand Finals in 2009 and 2010. Rebuilds with a youth focus take time.
They (ALL Clubs) tell the fans 5 years to keep hope up and sell memberships.
Our genuine re-build started with Billings, Dunstan and Acres. 3 top 20 picks and has built from there.
We technically over achieved in 2016 due to Fisher, Dempster, Riewoldt and Montagna there for a young team. 2017 was tougher with just Roo and Joey BUT players like Seb Ross and Dylan Roberton stood up.
I have not given yup on 2018.
2020 was always the real target IMHO.
We need 2 big fish for sure.
Praying for Sloane and Gaff.
A top 10 pick this year will also be a future gun.
I like this idea.MC Gusto wrote:Battle HFF or CHF

Give it a crack - we couldn’t be worse than we are!!
Lets hope some forumites remember this. You know, just in case he doesn't come out and kick a bagparkeysainter wrote:The Battleship. He will be a player but will still take time. Is a prototype modern forward and has all the tools. We were very lucky to get him at draft pick 30 odd. Very lucky he slid that far which is great for us though!
