Stat precision disposal ? What is it?

I thought I heard Richo say in a grab on the news "you wouldnt believe we are number one for precision disposal" What is it? Im wondering how can we be number 1 for any positive stat?

It is a bullcrap stat.

An effective disposal is:
- A kick of more than 40 metres to a 50/50 contest or better for the team or a kick of less than 40 metres that results in the intended target retaining possession; or
- A handball to a teammate that hits the intended target.

This includes little chip kicks backwards, or worse still, HB(StK), HB(StK), HB(StK), HB(Opp) - 75% Disposal Efficiency - but they get the ball.

As of now we are 2nd in Disposal Efficiency behind Collingwood

its a stat that reflects our unwillingness to take the game on! We are the best at the backwards/sideways kick and the handball to a bloke standing behind who because there is no shepherd handballs straight back !

Struggling to see why such a stat is of any value to anyone, let alone make a point of how high we sit on the scale. If that is what we see as a positive then I would suggest we are looking in the wrong places.
