Your voice - make it count
The members survey is out.
Questions asking you to rate the onfield performance and heaps of other things relating to how our club is run.
There is plenty of hot air on this site.
But here is a chance for you to make it clear to the club how disappointed you are with the way things are going.
And if you hang in there till the last question there is the opportunity to make a comment.

I think I let all my dissatisfaction and frustrated emotion at this season out in that final comments section.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Tue 11 Sep 2018 11:49pm The members survey is out.

It saddened me to be so brutal in my feedback to the Club, but I think having been a Sainter since the early 1950’s I have a right to ‘venture my spleen’. I tried to be objective in my criticisms, however I did let a little bit of Saints passion spill over in my comments.
Still I think that’s what we need after such a bland, disappointing year, ‘old fashioned Sainter passion’ to be re-ignited by our Board, Administration, Coaches and playing group.
As Enrico_Misso says, make sure you do the survey and fill out the comments section at the end. You only have until about 25 September to fill out the survey, so don’t put it off. I think it might be more productive doing the survey than just venting your collective spleens on this site, as I’m sure most Board members, the Administration, the coaches & players don’t read this site, or at least not religiously.

Yes, a good opportunity to tell the Club how you think about their efforts. These opportunities don't come along often.
My direct emails to the Club in the past have always gone without response. At least, we know that the overall Survey results will be aired. The 64 dollar question is, will it make any difference

completed , however many loaded questions to ensure the answers they don't want to get cannot be given , for example rate performance of on field , rate performance of board and management , no question rate the performance of the coaching staff? ok to bag the players and the board but the "cone of silence " exists around the coahcing staff?

Agree this is a great chance to vent and be heard by the decision makers.loris wrote: ↑Thu 13 Sep 2018 12:51pmI think I let all my dissatisfaction and frustrated emotion at this season out in that final comments section.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Tue 11 Sep 2018 11:49pm The members survey is out.

No doubt there is a lot of unhappiness out there and anyone reading this site would be aware of that.
But what REALLY IRKS me is the supporters who say they are not going to renew their membership as a protest.
If you really care about the club you will stay a loyal supporter but at the same time express your displeasure through other avenues such as emailing the club,
OR right on cue here is the feedback survey
- tell them out of 10 what you thought of the onfield experience (difficult choice between 0 or 1!)
- tell the board how you rate them
- and as per Loris you can write an essay in the final comments box (even if the President doesn't read it at least you will feel a lot better for it).
This is our BEST chance to let them know we are not happy and WANT CHANGES!!

Re: Your voice - make it count
An even better way to be heard (In my humble opinion) is for as many of our members as possible to attend the AGM. BUT rather than simply sit and listen to the same old euphemisms and double talk, to actively question the board! Ask the HARd questions and demand answers. If enough of us are there to QUESTION the directors then surely something can begin the process of positive change.

Re: Your voice - make it count
My comments:
If you are truly serious about member retention there has to be much more clarity and transparency to our decision making and the position of the board - within the reasonable bounds of business sense. But some decisions appear ridiculous and do not appear to be well thought out.
Members are feeling dis-enfranchised and we can only rely on on-field results to determine the direction of the club - and that looks like it a scattergun approach.
There does not seem to be any Game Plan
There does not seem to be any consistency of selection.
There does not seem to be any valid reason for some selections
There does not seem to be any development of players
etc, etc, etc …..

Sorry for the confusion, I agree, you claimed the board leaked and I was asking when did it leak? You didn't respond so I just assumed it didn't leak or there was no proof it leaked.Teflon wrote: ↑Sun 16 Sep 2018 11:12pmI never said the Board don’t leak .....show me where I said that.....I’d never be so naive or stupid to think that about a St Kilda Board...lolCairnsman wrote: ↑Sun 16 Sep 2018 10:21amSo the board doesn't leak but you read some posts on BF by a girl called God claiming it leaks?Teflon wrote: ↑Sun 16 Sep 2018 10:16amIt’s dissapointing you refer to BF as your source but clearly don’t read anything from there?Cairnsman wrote: ↑Sat 15 Sep 2018 1:12pmAs an atheist I'm dead certain this God you speak of cannot be thanked for anything. Hang on let's see if I'm following this correctly, so you claim the board leaks like a sieve, a fairly bold claim in magnitude by definition. I say I'm curious becuase I don't recall this current board leaking once, so I ask you for some background to support the claim. Just trying to keep it real Teffers.Teflon wrote: ↑Mon 17 Sep 2018 2:34pmNo I said I didn’t say it didn’t leakCairnsman wrote: ↑Mon 17 Sep 2018 2:14pmSorry for the confusion, I agree, you claimed the board leaked and I was asking when did it leak?
