Bit by bit, the Saints are building.

I'm sure the Saints will also mysteriously find another 10-20k members if things continue as they are.

There are bandwagoners everywhere. Those that stick fat deserve finals tickets first.

I am at least 25 kg overweight.
How many finals tickets does that fat get me.

No finals tickets to 3 game members until the rest of us get ours

Eric has been there all along and paid up and passionate
I would like to know if Warnie has finally bought a membership
Last time he was actually asked he hadn't. Only seems to come out when someone wants a ' comment'.

If he can can provide something positive consider it.

Well now that old skool Summers has left and we have a younger more relevant prez things may change.

Bassat is the new breed - internet squillionaire and same generation as Warnie & Bana. Heck, Warnie May have made a quid out of SEEK for all we know??!!

It’s like having Butters mark 2, but hopefully without the addiction issues!

I understand your reluctance, however I believe we should use his image to our advantage as much as possible. If we can increase membership, especially in untapped markets, and it costs us little or nothing, then we would be crazy not to.
It doesn't mean we all have to love him. He is a very successful sportsperson, and I suspect not much else.

Side shows

It wasn't Rob Lowe who got the Pies membership where it is

I don't think Natalie Portmann is having any affect on the Demons growth in supporter base

The real focus should always be creating the best environment for our players to flourish and for the club to start being a contender again

I actually think it's extremely valuable for our club to leverage high-profile supporters.

It won't do much for our playing group, but it will have impact on our brand value and the kind of sponsors we attract.

We need to get muscled up in this department. We need to get beyond the Dare Ice Coffees and XBlades - 2nd rate brands.

To get into the elite echelon, you need to be winning games of footy, but you also need to push yourself as a strong brand with flair, profile and poise. Hell, you want to be exciting...and celeb fans are a huge part of that. Just look at what Kennett and McGuire alone have done for their clubs.

We have so many top-tier profile supporters: Shane Warne, Eric Bana, Molly Meldrum, Geoff Ogilvy.

And a stack on the next tier: Jane Bunn, Philip Dalidakis, Rhys Muldoon, Sandy Roberts, Peter Hitchener, Michael Klim, Tex Perkins.

There's also heaps more I can think of. We need to push as hard as possible to get them front and centre. Whether you like the celebrity fan or not, ours are legitimate supporters, and they do generate eyeballs, clicks and interest. We can certainly leverage them in a big way.

Whenever Gil moves on from his current role, I'll be shoving a scarf on him and reminding him of where his next big contribution in this game lies. If it's good enough for Ben Buckley to go back to North...

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

I thought Bassatt's response to the question from Barratt about Warne and the Board was that the club would consider him in a role around the club, but not necessarily the Board.
I can imagine Warne may be useful in a marketing capacity and PR role but unsure in my opinion he has the credentials to be a board member.

If you are a paid up Premium or Ultimate member (used to be the Social Club Membership) - that is exactly what you get!

When I went shopping yesterday, I spotted about 7 different people proudly wearing Saints gear. I chatted to one guy whose face just lit up when I mentioned the start to the season. It’s a big bandwagon... the more the merrier!!! Let’s just enjoy tomorrow before even thinking about September.

Personally, I can’t wait for the footy tomorrow.... it’s been a fair while since I can say that. Hope the boys really bring it again and notch up win number 5. GOOOOOO SAINTSSSSSS!!!!
