It was positive that Hannas showed leadership and played out the match and kept trying hard in the last quarter but he's half the player he used to be

Hind was very good.

The other positive is that White, Coffield, and Clark should be able to cement more opportunities to play together soon

I like the theory but Clark & Coffield have both gone backwards under the current regime . It's either very poor coaching or very poor recruiting & White has played 1 game in a injury riddled team crying out for some quality :?

There was a thread that was about Clark getting axed (which was manipulation by club insiders) and it discussed games played this year for the Top 10 draftees from that year

Look at the stats for some of the guys including Cerra and Paddy Dow and even for Cam Rainer who was the number 1 pick that year. Their footy departments and their coaches have played these guys week after week after week and given them the confidence to flourish even when they had a run of poor form.

Our guys who were pick 7 and pick 8 have not been shown any faith and have not been given any consistency. It's hard enough for first and second year players, but when you swap and change and drop them continuously after only just 1 or 2 games in the seniors what do you expect? They need continuity and they need to get used to playing with the same set of players in the same team. They also need their head coach to believe in them and be patient.

Why would we do that when we can play a cooked Armo off HB and continue to give games to Newnes?

Well perversely in a game when our mids were spanked I thought Bruce was quite good.

Billings was ok.(Most seem to disagree)

Marshall continues to impress.

Hind for not kicking at goal like many of his teammates!

Hanners for a quarter.

Acres when played as an inside mid.

Pretty accurate.
Billings was good. Things weren't going his way but he dug in and did the hard things like tackling.
Bruce definately moving better.
Hanners looked rusty but good.
Acres is very much the prototype for a mid and will be a star if they play him there.
His problem is that others like Ross and dunny cant play anywhere else , so Blake makes way for them

Marshall's opponent, stefan martin was 2nd best on ground, but marshall didnt give up.
Btw stefan martin is ooc at the end of the year and is more the type to go after as he is good up forward.

Clark is a mid and not a hb. He gets hurt and knocked off the ball too easily and some of his turnovers were breathtaking.
No way is he ahead of white or Paton.
Needs a year in the gym and play on a wing or in the middle

The head coach can never have patience when his own head is on the chopping block.
He has to try to win the next game, every game.
Richo made it clear that the reason Hannebury and Carlisle were rushed back was the need to have team capable of beating Brisbane.
He needed a team that if they all played well could beat Brisbane, an honourable loss was not an option.
Lose, who cares how big, it is a LOSS.

You have to choose between "I want results" or "I want player development" you can't have both.
St Kilda has a supporter base that wants results, they have suffered for far too long hoping that players will develop.
