Re: Has today's heavy loss hurt Ratten's chances??

I thought it might've hurt his chance a bit, then I watched this ... https://www.saints.com.au/video/2019-08-24/ratten-reviews-swans I don't think we could do better than Ratts. He seems to know where the problems lie and acknowledges the work that needs to be done. It's also nice to watch someone w...

Ratten will coach StK B.Scott will coach either Fremantle, Port or Essendon (if Ross goes to Adel) M.Voss will also coach Agree with this, think that’s how it will play out. Opens up a great opportunity for B Scott! Dont be surprised ...

Re: Dan Hannebery gastro

Hannebery’s contract & output = gastro 🤮💩 Sure does. The thought of him and Billings sucking up $1.6 million per year doesn't go down well in building a finals team going forward, especially when you compare what quality players we had in the past on less $$ than these two. The Hannebery deal i...

None of the things he said would surprise me. I'm not sure whether he was the right or wrong person for the job but we were a shambles at that point, a complete and utter mess. He was stupid to do that interview and stupid to play Saad without telling anybody but I'm not sure they're worth sacking h...

In the Dees Game I though that Long played a lot more disciplined and settled. Good sign. In many previous games he just seemed to be often playing too hot-headed and with real thought about what was best to do. Agree. It was the best game I've seen him play. Disciplined but dangerous and a real fo...

Re: Changes next week

Newnes has no real strengths, his is the very definition of a GOP His strength was his hard gut running, he no longer has that aerobic ability, I’m telling you, he’s 5kg too heavy. He needs to cut down on the weights, trim down and get back into the top 5 at the club over 3k. Maybe his battling wit...

There we go the old double goal free for zero. Stupid free to give away... there if they want to pay it If they want to which they rarely do. Punched him in the throat 1m from the umpire who had already warned him. Pathetic by Jake. Punched in the throat from 1 metre away. Sounds like a 3 week susp...

The guy lost all his money and all his superannuation in 2010 from a failed business deal. At the time, the Saints would not offer him a long term contract and Fremantle would. Nettlefold told him that his position was not guaranteed beyond 2012. He needed to rebuild his life financially and had yo...

I hope he does well and gets another try with us or elsewhere - seems deserving of it.

Slightly off topic, I wonder if that's a recent photo of Dylan Roberton training or a stock one?

Listen to what’s coming out of the clubs mouthpiece Nick Riewoldt. The club will be looking for the next Ross Lyon I couldn’t be any more certain. Ditto from Nick dal It’s a shame Mitchell is inexperienced because he has that type of personality - a real hard edged prick. Other than experience, he ...

Credit where it's due, I thought he conducted himself with dignity and grace throughout the past two seasons, especially last year when he had to front up week in weke out on AFL360. It must've been hell.

He'll get a job in the industry tomorrow I'm sure.

Re: Who's Good At Maths?

I love it how everyone thinks it’s only the coach, and if we have a new coach all of a sudden our list with very few fit A Graders (if any) are going to start winning games of footy. AR is part of the problem, not the only problem. But I think people think he IS the problem and without him, we woul...

Re: Who's Good At Maths?

Does this result now make it the "mathematical" impossibility? It would need to be no longer mathematically possible to win 12 games. Forget percentage, a contract is legal. If we don't win another game between now and the conclusion of Round 18, it would be then. I think we will win a co...
