Max

As much as I respect and rate Max highly as a great player and clubman, would you bring him in given the fact our backline is rock solid at present? I think Max might struggle to win his position back. What do others think?

Sheedy

Have a read of Kevin Sheedy's book. The ANZAC day blockbuster was dreamed up as a marketing ploy to promote the game. Nothing to do with tradition and pleanty to do with $$$$$.

The other Clubs shouls take on the AFL examining their options under the Trade Practices Act.

Safeway at Bentleigh

I can remember Moorabbin in the very early 70's, and have a distant memory of the Junction St Oval, probably only would have been 7 or 8 years old at the time. I definitely remember spotting Darrel Baldock in the car park of Safeway in Bentleigh on the corner of Jasper and Centre Roads - he was stil...

Dockers

Met a couple of Dockers supporters from Perth when they were visiting us at work. Good blokes they were and were not afraid to say how much they hated the WCEagles and Perth Media who were totally sucked in my the Eagles hysteria. I remember standing in the wet at the Gilbeys gin end of Moorabbin wi...

Rocca

I shut my Collingwood mate up when I tell him the collingwood got rid of the wrong Rocca. I would take Sav any day over Anthony. Being in
NSW I saw Anthony play with the Swans and my assessment of him was lazy and conceited. Again, I would have Sav Rocca any day over Anthony.

Schneider

I am based in NSW and there are alot of the local Swans fans that are absolutely spewing about Schneider leaving the Swans. In my opinion, he has been a great pick up and knows where the goals are. Will be a finals strength for us - experience and a cool head and as said before, knows where the goal...

Style

It's not just the fact that they are winning, it's about how they are winning - the tackling and pressure on the opposition is ferocious and addicitive to watch. Kepp it up boys.

Don't also forget Kerr's cheap shots on the last quarter. Poor showing for a so called champion.

Eric Guy

My dad is 86 and has seen a hell of alot of footy. He rates Eric Guy as the toughest he has ever seen, with alot of daylight between him and the rest. He was the hardest at the ball player ever seen, and also fair. Dad was there the day he ironed out Bobby Skilton and Killa had to take Eric of at 3/...

No way

Alot of people said Michael Gardiner was finished. We gave him time and I think he will deliver this year, he certainly has in the last two game. Matt Maguire will be back, and other teams will not be happy about that fact. Remember our motto - give goose the motto - he has played by it and deserves...

Intimidation

Did not see the incident but my sister told me that there was a bit of pushing and shoving of some of our little blokes and MG step in and did a bit of intimidation. Good to see MG playing well and contributing and being a big physical presence - small players lift when they know there is some prote...

GC17 = fizzer

For those of us that live in NSW and Qld, we know that Rugby League is King - followed by Rugby Union and then maybe AFL. You only have to look at the coverage that AFL gets in the papers compared to League. IMHO the GC17 franchise will struggle, especially in RL heartland and troubled economic time...

Sheedy

A few weeks ago I listened to an interview of Kevin Sheedy on ABC radio on the south coast of NSW. Not often you get AFL coverage in gods own glorious country. I did not know much of Sheedy but it was a bloody good interview, and, at its end after his discussion of the Cousins dilemma, I knew Richmo...

Sincere condolences Saint Pat on the loss of your father. My Dad is almost 86 and is travelling ok for someone of his age. Earlier this year my sister had the chance to meet Robert Harvey. AFL

There is no profit for us in a bad relationship with the AFL and its people. What we need is a professional and strong administration who can foster a working and professional relationship and put the Club in as best position as possible. It is essential that we are strong and we show the AFL that w...

This ad almost brought a tear to my eye. I have not thought about Trevor Barker for a while. I remember meeting him as a kid at a McKinnon High School sportsmans night when I was about 15 year old. ???????????????

I am astiunded given the amount of media and the positive comments made by club representatives. Usually these types of comments are made to get a reaction and to guage public opinion. For what it's worth, I think we have lost a golden opportunity. It may not have lead to a premiership, but I suppos...
