Dinner with the players
My sister and my dad were invited to a private dinner with the players as some sort of fund raiser, a couple of years ago. In attendance was Lenny Hayes, Stephen Baker and Troy Schwarze. My sisters and Dad ( who is in his 80's and used to work for the Club) were all very impressed with this trio. Le...

BC
I know someone who was involved with the last tour to Ireland that BC went on. When I asked what he was like, I was told he was a really lovely bloke, had a lot of time for teammates, younger players and the public and was a great ambassador for our team. this person was genuinely shocked and disapp...

David Sierakowski was a GOP. My memory may be fading but I would also nominate Mordi Bromberg and Glen Elliott.

Have we been set up?
I just wonder if the WCE have set us all up. Think about this. Ben Cousin's touts himself around to other clubs, interest is showed, drafting is talked about, then he returns to the WCE. What better way for the WCE to defray any criticism! St Kilda and Brisbane were prepared to take him. So was Coll...

C'mon Eddie and Channel 9
If Ch9 can replay the audio tape purported to be about Ben Cousins, and others have assumede that Eddie influenced this decision, perhaps someone should petition Ch9 to investigate the Police Radio tapes of the night that Didak drove around with a crime figure firing shots out of a car, or his escap...

RB
It is perplexing to see this story in the media. Must be quiet for news in Melbourne at present. A couple of points worth noting... If any of you have had any experience in dealing with the media, then you know how often what you say gets printed in an entirely different context. Rod was president f...

Against the Pies at Victoria Park
I can't remember the year but it was the day that Nicky Winmar had a blinder, copped heaps of the Pies supporters and made that historic gesture. We won as well.

Umpires
It is unusual for umpires to change the outcome of the game, although I think that the Umps are a bit intimidated by Geelong. The amount of tackles that should be called "holding the ball" is appalling. Look at the first quarter last night. ON at least 2 occasions G Ablett was tackled and ...

Umpires and Geelong
I thought the Dogs tackled and applied pressure tonight for little reward. The Cats have the umpires spooked - the do not call free kicks against them when they are tackled. Very poor show indeed and no consistency whatsoever.

we can beat the pussies
They are a good tough unit but anyone can be beaten. We have come out of that game last week a smarter unit. If they had thrown in the towel we would have lost tonight, just to avoid Geelong. We can do it if we get there. I remember sitting up late watching Jeff "Hit Man" Harding win a wor...

commentary
Even Blight and Quartermain reckon there was nothing in it. We know how biased dear Malcolm is and how much Quartermain sucks up to Eddy Ego. But hang on a minute....this is St Kilda we are talking about - Kosi will get about 10 weeks!

Geelong fans
If they want to whinge about unfair treatment, remind them about the elbows of Gary Ablett Senior. If you really want to make them spew remind them about Mark Yates' so called hit on Dermott Brereton in the Grand Final (cannot remember the year) and Dermie practically went on to win the Hawks the GF.

Matthew Scarlett
I would love to know what was said to Robert Harvey after the game by Scarlett to draw that reaction from the great man.
Nothing like a gracious winner is there?
Does anyone know what was said?
I thonk I hate Geelong more than Collingwood.

Not only do we towl up Essendon, but we knock Adelaide of 4th spot and also at the same time send Collingwood interstate. It just really does not get any better. Go Saints

Sponsorships?
I don't know whether Cousins would be a good acquisition or not. You would certainly want a clean drug test before taking him on. But I do wonder if we would have issues with club sponsors. What do others think?

The translation of our club motto is "strength through loyalty". If actions speak louder than words, then Stephen Milne has genuinely lived our motto. Loyalty should be repaid.

Well done Stephen Milne
A good article by Robert Walls. Nothing to do with the coach, but everything to do with Stephen Milne the man. Wallsy may be a bit of a pain, but he is nothing compared to the pathetic commentary of Tim Watson. I cannot stand his biased commentary - he is always so quick to put s@#t on us. And you c...

the biggest change of all
The big change at the end of the year will be the coach. Tonight I have just heard from a pretty reliable source that Ross Lyon will have his contract paid out at the end of the season. If, and it is a big if, that happens, then who will coach the Saints next year? A very big question.

Robert Harvey Retirement Tribute
In other sports overseas, when a great of the game retires, they also retire the jumper number. Is it feasible, or a good idea, or a fitting tribute that the St Kilda Football Club retire jumper # 35?

What could there be to cover up? Why would lies be told to protect someone. And if they were who was that someone? Was it someone higher up in the Collingwood eschalon? I wonder who?

Jason Blake stand up and take a bow. Instrumental in turning it around. Use this as the benchmark tonight. What a win. What a weekend - Collingwood lose and we win - does not get much better.
