Billings is not a midfielder. Was never considered one. We have tended to draft the best tall forward in the draft, or worse stll, even a half forward flanker (Billings was not even a key position forward) and have been happy to overlook obvious midfield talent to get one .... Petracca, Rozee, Butte...

The thing is a skinny, lanky key position forward or ruckman, etc... takes years to develop/reach their peak, and might eventually get there ... but it is never a given. Whereas a Rozee, Butterrs , Darcy Wilson etc.. are ready to hit the ground running from the word go.
