I'm the boss, and we have a few Filth fans at work. I was not looking forward to work today, so I made a point of being first to the office, so I didn't need to walk through the whole office. Then I removed all Saints colours etc. The Collingwood staff were extremely well behaved and respectfull tow...

The sun did rise

......Although it seems to be about an hour late. Sadly, we don't get many chances to win Grand Finals, and this one has eluded us. After "sleeping on it" there a a few reasons we lost yesterday. Their young, quick midfielders and totally blitzed us. We had too many "role players"...

Need to tiday the sock draw tommorow. Went last year to show support, but this year I reckon the players will be embarrased, and will want to be somewhere else, so I won't bother.

Those Umpires

They were pretty good last week, and good again today. I've bagged umpires for +40 years, but I thought these guys were actually very good. Certainly had no effect on the result.

Saints looked spent from the start. They used every ounce of physical and mental energy last week. Mind you, if we had kicked the first couple of goals, they would have "found" a lot extra, and Collingwood would have looked slow and burned out.

Why we'll win by six goals

We proved last week that we can beat them one-on-one. We can stop their better players, Didak, Pendlebury and Swan. We have players like Goddard & Riewaldt and Hayes and Fisher and Gilbert that they cant stop. Their young bodies and minds won't be able to get up for three Grand Finals in success...

If we win, I won't give a rats arse if I have to watch the replay in Black & White.

If we do win, I'll collect the GF1 & GF2 set, and probably view the whole experience as an 8 quarter thriller.

But if we loose, I wont be watching, so I don't care about the resolution.

Stanley for Gardiner. Kosi into the ruck and Stanley as quick tall forward. Will stretch Magpie backline. Steven for Eddy. Steven can kick a goal, and helps Lenny extracting the ball, as well as provide extra midfield rotation. If Gram is as fit as he was last Saturday, sorry but bring back Nick Hey...

Solar's suggestion is not that far to the left. Consider Ross has used TWO ruckman for the past couple of years. Last Saturday they made the decision to go with one only. Gardiner has experience, but McEvoy is still young and green, and I doubt they will take him into the game as the lone ruckman. K...

Have a look at the "line" bet. On Saturday the gave us 16.5 "at the line". That means you collect if we win and you collect if we loose by less that 17 points. In addition to Lenny & BJ, I'd be inclined to add Roo next week, he is a champion of the ages.

BJ ought to be OK here, but I saw an important Saints player belt an opponent with a fist to the stomach. If it were Baker, he would probably get six weeks. Would rather not name the player or the time and location of the incident, just in case Eddie's spy's find a way to dig out the video. Because ...
