Catches win matches .....

Simple but true cricket statement - would a footy equivalent be - Missed shots cost finals spots >?? Too many times in the last few years the saints have played gut busting footy only to be let down by simple errors in finishing goal scoring opportunities....... rumors about soft tissue injury conce...

Re: Saad would have been handy

Agree - Saad has added real speed to the forward line that puts all the pressure back on the back men and creates goals for himself and others - back in next match fior sure i would think having said that geary played very well as the sub IMO and has learnt how to use his running abilities - which i...

Re: Clarke

Raph was very good I thought -almost shows too much courage running with the flight and is sure to get cleaned up - was all over the ground and provided a lot of spread - unfortunately he is almost guaranteed a clanger or 2 per game which people all remember - if he can cut them out and continue to ...

Re: Round 12 Team v Adelaide

The good news is we have about 30 genuine players competing for the top 22 - if injuries don't stop us we should be able to field strong teams every week. simpkin has been good but was destroyed by Jack R a few weeks back ( not the first guy to suffer that ) and maybe can flex some musclefor the Zeb...

Can Zebs make the grade

Considering there is Ben, Stanley, fisher and geary out injured - is there anyone who is now running around for the zebs who can make an impact on the top 22 ??

Re: Jack Newnes

He has taken me by suprise - still can't work out where he came from - and keeps getting a game seemingly from nowhere - still not in our 22 I wouldn't think - BUT has been very good and will hopefully be a great player in years to come

Re: Blake: a waste of time

Heading probably is a bit misleading :) and while I think it was a fantastic effort by the man to complete his studies and I'm sure there are untold life and professional skills he will have gained from it - I just wonder whether he will use it on a professional level - seems to valuable as an asset...

Blake: a waste of time

There has been a lot of Blake love lately and i think there is probably room for a bit more :D I pose the question will he ever use his well earned engineering (?) degree ? you would have to think he is a prime candidate to remain in the system in a coaching role - he's played every position on the ...

Re: Jason Gram's game

If thats his girl friend - he has made it :) - I think he is also playing pretty well and doesn't need to initiate body on body contact every time he gets the ball - I think he wins a good share of his one on one contests

I like your work Austinnn - would love it if the saints crowd could get some proper chants going -would love to get a more EPL feel on game day - rather than the stuff they dish up at the teniis /cricket etc ozi,ozi ozi oi oi oi - couldn't be any worse - would like to see half a dozen chants include...

I remember a strong in and under guy with a big mo, shoulder length hair and a bald spot - awesome player - time may be playing tricks with my mind though so wouldn't want to stand by that description in a court of law.

Re: Surely the goal by #2 is worthy of it's own thread

He was not prolific but everything he did was good - apart from his goal and mark - he also sent a 65 metre bimb past the pack ( with milera flying over the top) which reached Saad for a goal - great to see the new guys combining

Empty train leaves Seaford station

Can't remember when I last saw 22 run out for the saints with no passengers - certainly no obvious ones with no ticket hiding in the corner from the met police - With 3 or 4 'must play' guys coming back and another couple of potentials in the wings the selection panel are going to have to make some ...

Re: Roo's 3qrt time dummy spit and follow on affect

I saw it and they talked about it (finney) on SEN this morning - the pass was not on - there was a man closing from behind who Roo probably didn't see - Milera should have shot from there and he should have goaled - but plenty of others missed from 40 and under last night -- pretty sure Roo will apo...

Wilkes started where he left off the week before - dropped a chest mark while unmanned - he gets dropped and doesn't play - along with the guys who go out with injury - fisher, gwilt, sipposs, ledger, amongst those who can take a place
