If they always got it right I'd have nothing to enjoy screaming about. Reckon the remove the microphone suggestion is spot on. Players have critical error stats. But don't think umpires should have same, but should be quietly dropped to magoos. Why are some umpires so insecure about losing 'control'...

AND IT WAS FREEZING What! You are probably too young to remember games played at Antarctic Park, Wavereley. What you experienced was a warm winter's day. If you farted at Antarctic Park there was no smell because it immediately turned to liquid methane. LOL - like a game played on Uranus! Walsh pro...

Captains are, most importantly, on field leaders, leading by example. Roo does it in buckets, so too Lenny, and now Gods. Think we would have won the GF last year if he didn't get injured.

Quick notes I took at the match (imo): (walked into the ground with Zac and Eddy - no limp on Zac :D ) J Smith - took brave mark, tackling good, didn't make much impression on game (looks like he needs core work and leg work) Will Johnson - good endevour, decent pace Simpkin - excellent, played on A...

Agree. Not bad numbers last night (five tackles). Like his attack on the ball. Will develop into a tough brave player I reckon. Coming along very nicely at only 21.

Thought we could have done with Zac's slump last night.

Anyone know how many times they kicked it to Reiwoldt?

Apart from God's thought our mid guns were all quiet-ish last night. It was very much a standard win.

Defending Robert Eddy!!! Has anyone noticed that our zone has worked well the past two weeks and that the frontal pressure has started to return? Why? Robert Eddy (unlike Armo) is quick to get into the defensive zone using his pace and stamina to get into the holes in the structure making it harder...

There are change peope and there are anti-change people. Anti-change people tend to be negative and counter-productive.

I'd give up not watching them play the following year (tv or flesh).

Which would be tougher than it sounds.

Despite being quiet, can't see Lyon pulling Eddy after one game. Tends to offer players a couple of goes at it. Geary or Armo only ones genuinely worthy from VFL last weekend. But, however unlikely, it would be mighty funny to see Walsh get the nod. Just wanted to say it. Same measurements as Zac. W...

Ross said at quarter time of our WC game that we were trying to be too precise, needed to just get it in quicker to a contest and then compete for the ball. This stat would suggest that he is spot on, Geelongs lack of precision movement inside 50 can often wrong foot opponents and make Mooney look ...

Noticed players kicking over Milnes head for a quick double-back. Like a set play. Remember it working on a couple of ocassions and creates doubt in defenders. If it comes off, it positions Milne for a snap on goal or centering chip. Anyone else notice? Is it new?

I must confess to a slight 'bronx cheer' when Kosi marked toward game's end. Not proud of it and promise to myself not to ever do it again. Came out of frustration but it's not helping him. Good to see Raph playing bravely, I think that's a sign your confidence is up. If you look at Zac and Kosi the...

I'm a bit of a stats nerd and it's difficult to ascertain his effectiveness as a tagger unless you trawl back through the games and check the disposals of his opponents, which I don't know how to do. You can look at tackles a bit. But interesting to see his effective disposal % beats Lenny, Dal and ...

Don't understand these posts. Think he's been outstanding and consistent this year, doing a great job, seems his disposals are smarter than last year and his hands seem more assured, unless anyone has any stats re his efficiency? Currently he's second in handballs and second in tackles and sixth in ...

Like the way he was dragging his defender out of the area, and good reader of play with quick hands. Long way to go but good footy brain.
