Re: Jack Newnes 23 tomorrow
And with the Ross Lyon selection policy both Newnes and Ross spent a hell of a lot of time at Sandy. While that was pretty #### frustrating for them and a lot of us, perhaps in the long run a solid apprenticeship has helped them. hmmmm, well glandular fever can be transmitted by kissing.
Does this mean that D MAc and Bailey Rice are an item ???
This could be taking team bonding a bit too far.

Street parking and a little beach parking but make sure you pay if parking there. 10 minute walk at the most.

This may have been asked What was the official crowd and the unofficial estimate for the greatest ever " lake premiership " ? Just give me a hand here - was the "lake premiership" a game between St Kilda and Sth Melb as the clubs on either side of the Albert Park Lake? If so, I ...

Re: Jack Sinclair still a rookie??
OK, it might be that the website update is a quick and dirty solution while the "real" page is still in progress. It looks like a Dodgy Bros production - The photos of the new players are photoshopped onto a "standard" body and it might be too hard to add another row of photos to...

Jack Sinclair still a rookie??
I have just seen that the club website has updated the player lists and numbers. It all looks to be complete - Josh Saunders has been moved to the rookie list, etc. BUT - Jack Sinclair is still on the rookie list with his old number 40. Was there a last minute decision not to elevate him to the main...

Re: new sponsor ?
While Pepper seems to be a good solid company, I still would have preferred the "respectability" or "wow factor" that would have rubbed off on us with a big name like Peugeot. However, Pepper's money is as good as anybody else's I guess.

Yep, it is Pepper Finance. Their slogan is "Pepper Absolutely Positively" and I think that you can see enough under the player's hand in that photo to make a good guess.ripplug66 wrote:Its a finance company and not a car company or so the rumour goes.

Re: Do we have another pick after Bailey Rice?
We have 2 picks in the draft plus Rice and Sinclair. If we have to use too many picks on rice to get up the points I expect us to use our second pick in the PSD or the rookie draft. I apologise ahead of time if this is a dumb question - but if we have no particular player in mind for the second pic...

By that, I meant that isn't a delisted player free to go anywhere in the draft or PSD with no trading or compensation for his original club?Stian wrote:But by delisting Markworth, surely that means that we have lost control of him and we can't include him in any proposed deals ????

Re: Guess the delistings
Interesting that Hutchings and Cripps are now getting games at a top side. This might explain why we signed Acres up to a long contract. Nah. I'll concede that Cripps was homesick but poor old Hutchings just wasn't appreciated and didn't "show his wares" as a rookie and then got dumped wi...

Extremely conservative selections for an utterly meaningless game. Why Ray, seriously? Acres is fit, Sinclair is fit, Eli is fit, I think McKenzie is fit, hell even Siposs is fit and in form. The coaching panel must have a genuine belief that we can be competitive and they are looking for the team ...
