Re: NICK RIEWOLDT
Parkin was one of my Lecturers at Deakin in the 90s for Sports Coaching and Management. A master communicator and coaching boffin! He is thought provoking, engaging and obviously knows footy, and has stayed involved. He was at the VAFA coaches conference last year as keynote speaker, and blew everyo...

Re: List for 2020
I would cut it deep, absolutely start again 2001 style Get decisions right, you can be contending in 3 years, as we did in 04 (and like Bris are now) Starting again with a foundation of elite talent allows you to build an era of sustainable success, something you need to win a flag. At the moment, o...

Re: NICK RIEWOLDT
Yeah, I agree Nick should be on the panel. Perhaps another successful recently retired player, not from STK like Murphy or Roughead or Goddard I would love to see either David Parkin (and if you ever heard him speak, you’d know why) or much to my chagrin Malthouse or Matthews. An experienced premier...

A Lovett mark II
If you think I was scathing when we took that drunk (although my opinion was unpopular at the time)
If we consider Bennell, I will drive down to Moorabbin and chin the list Manager for wasting my money.
Although, at least Bennell isn’t a woman basher.

Re: Team lineup under ratts
I hope he does play Acres in the guts, so people actually see his deficiencies. Bont, or McRae or Dunkley might get 50 disposals.
If White is overlooked and Acres is not in the midfield, can we assume that now two coaches don’t rate them, there is a chance they aren’t THAT GOOD.

Re: Richo has agreed to resign <mod edit>
Classy exit press conference from Richo, man of integrity and as always honest as a days long. Yes, of course we needed a change because of the W/L and a new direction needs a new voice, but I have no doubt that he was a good leader, with good communication skills and good teaching ability. He may h...

Was Nicky on the sauce?
I was under the impression he was sober nowadays.
I idolise N Winmar, but unfortunately he could let himself down at times

Re: Whispers in the sky
We shouldn’t have down traded picks 12 & 13 if we were going to let go a star, why would you let go an elite, then downgrade the pick you get, to make it harder to replace 5he talent?! Recruiting madness. We shouldn’t have downtraded pick 20 We should have definitely kept Ben McEvoy, and possibl...

Re: Is Hunter Clarke as good as Hunter Clark?
Mundy and Pendlebury are huge inside mids who dominate at stoppage.
I think Hunter is an intercepting or transition player who reads it well and uses it well

Re: Whispers in the sky
I didn’t say crap, that’s because we have a horrible list thanks to
Chris Pelchen, Tony Elshaugh
I said we are not respected. To be respected to stand up for what is right, and not bend over. And we accept mediocrity

I reckon I could safely say that everyone thinks AR should be sacked and is the main reason for our lowly performance.
I do read a lot of comments that support this view, I’m only going by what I read

Re: Lowest Scoring Season Since 1955 looming
The rule actually put more bodies inside f50 at centre bounce as 12 have to start i50, usually two pairs started either at 5he top of the square or even on the wing, and tear into the centre bounce to provide pressure. So now it gives the mids more time and space to clear the ball quickly. There is ...

Only occurs at centre bounce
The other 95% of the time it make no difference
Scores from CB is up, but scores from defensive rebound is down

Re: Lowest Scoring Season Since 1955 looming
We have a lot of i50s for little result
We are not getting ‘bang for buck’ as Richo says
Maybe it’s our forward structure, who’s the forwards coach again? Oops can’t mention that, because he’s our great White hope.

Re: Who's Good At Maths?
I played footy for many years, and coach now. Had good and bad coaches, my performance was generally the same. I was as good as my ability allowed, and whilst I learned some things from some coaches, in the heat of battle where a contest is to be won, I did not, at any moment give any thought to wha...

Re: Who's Good At Maths?
I keep trotting it out, because what I read on here about the role and influence of the coach, intrigues me. I’ll put it in simple terms. Players win games. I actually believe supporters think if we had Alistair Clarkson coaching, we’d be a top team. I’m telling you, A.Clarkson Coaches our team this...

I pick my battles with those who want to have crack at me, I don’t just look for battles I can win.
That’s the difference between a bully and a person who just stands up for themselves
StK is not well respected because it rolls over and accepts mediocrity
