Re: Best 22
Given Freeman has played exactly zero AFL senior games how on earth could he be in anyone's best 22?
I hope he comes good but really we've no idea just how good (or otherwise) he could be.

Re: Billings as a midfielder
Spoke to Coburgs ruckman on Monday and asked him about our boys. He said that Billings was basically taking the piss against them and he is a absolute jet. Then he should feel free to roll out said jetness a bit more often in the senior side, instead of running around at half ratpower with no air o...

Re: Sliding Doors - we gave up Aaron Francis
Quite right, the choice was made, and we have to live with it. Only time will tell if it was a good choice, like all trades and draft picks. No point moaning about it now, it's a done deal and has been since trade week last year. Carlisle can play, and should bolster our out-sized defence next year ...

Quite a few frees missed for both sides, but overall I thought the unpiring was pretty good.
The Ex-Carlton umpire was no worse than the other 2.
IMO of course

IMO Cripps is better than the Bont, who is currently in front of Billings. But all 3 will be quality players for some years.

I wasn't tongue tied ... we really were getting coffee and they were just leaving.
Richo was there but I didn't get a chance for a chat .... my conference finished today so I'm not there now.

Re: Changes next week
Maric is no world beater, but he beat Longer like a rented mule. I'd be inclined to give Hickey a run as No 1 ruckman. AT least he offers an offensive threat occasionally, and can actually move around the ground.

Re: Gilbert cost us the game!
Gilbo had a mixed bag of a game; many good things and 1%ers, but several costly turnovers. In that regard he wasn't alone; we kicked as poorly as I can remember, and given we are pretty ordinary with the ball in general that's a big call. Yet IMO he is in our best side for the many good things he do...

I want to win every game, although I hope I'm realistic enough to know we won't. I expected 5-7 wins this year so I think we're on track for that. Basically, wins before picks is my mantra.

You are absolutely correct on that one. I was there on the day. Fantastic match actually. Well, we won didn't we. Would have absolutely hated it if the cats had won though. I would have been disappointed to lose it, I thought we were slightly the better team on the day, but it was such a great matc...

Re: the media's friends-St Kilda (+ audio from coaches box-r
Its amazing how people forget 2009. I loved our footy back then. One of the best home and away games I have seen was in 2009 and most games were great to watch. The absolute best H&A game I've ever been to was R14 2009 - St Kilda v Geelong at Etihad. That game was pulsating from start to finish...
