Re: St Kilda announcement - Tues morning

I hope it's a new football gear. I Guernsey has too much black in it. Looks like collingwood from behind Whether or not it's an overly new design for the home or clash jumpers, I think this might be the first we'll see of the 2015 jumpers. We're the last club in the competition to release their jum...

Re: Time to Play White

I took this line from a post game summary from Alan Richardson, He said Spencer White could get a senior opportunity "sooner than perhaps he normally might" given their situation . I think i'll go with Richardson's opinion re White and when he makes his debut. He certainly might - Tom Lee...

Re: crackers oval office

Realistically, Armo is the best (though not necessarily likely) chance of us being able to trade our way to a top ~20 pick. I'd actually been thinking about Tom Lee and potential trade value over the past couple of days. Pelchen said the focus this year is the first three rounds of the draft, so he ...

Re: 2014 List Management - Draft & Trade Discussion

This particular draft has flaws mainly at the top end, or at least the lack of confidence who should be at the top end but one thing about this draft is it runs deep. There will be some very handy players available in the 20-40 range and that's where I think the Pelican should focus his attention. ...

Re: 2014 List Management - Draft & Trade Discussion

Looking forward to these games. The likely top 10 picks will all be on show. McCartin, Wright, Goddard, Durdin, Brayshaw etc. I know we don't have as much serious trade bait as we did last year, so I doubt we'll end up with another top ~10 pick, and right now I'm close to sold on McCartin and then ...

Re: 2014 List Management - Draft & Trade Discussion

Saints offcourse. Bevo mentioned it. I actually thought its not a bad idea, thinking outside the box. If Mitch Clarke would be ready to return to football - which seems highly doubtful, and also makes you wonder why he wouldn't go back to Melbourne seeing as they were very good to him - I would tak...

Broadcast on Fox Footy and the AFL Live App. Here are the teams - really looking forward to see how Wright and McCartin perform. 12.35pm http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/brijgiglia/4cdb4662-ff65-4521-bebb-e820fd995052.jpg 2.35pm http://i5...

Re: Bring a Mate for Free

Hawthorn did against us this year Sad that they're at the point of doing 2 for 1 deals. The difference is they're in a position where they can totally take or leave this kind of thing. I dare say it's no coincidence that they chose to offer that in a game against us too. I'm assuming (I can't claim...

Re: Bring a Mate for Free

Sad that the club's at a point where we're doing 2-for-1 deals. Does anyone know the specifics about how this would effect any match-day revenue we get from Etihad? If it's not in our favour I'm wondering if they're relying on Tigers fans doing the heavy lifting in terms of the crowd number, or they...

CV moving to Footscray Park. Building an elite training centre in conjuction with Vic Uni & City of Maribrynong. Yes, certainly looks like that's what happening. Without trying to self-promote and failing miserably, I reported this at the start of last week (although the site doesn't typically ...

At absolute most there might be a bidding war between clubs with later picks and steak knives as weaponry. If we could get him for donuts I'd take him,\; hard to see any clubs absolutely jumping at him unfortunately - obviously incredibly talented and the victim of a lot of bad luck.

Re: Team Vs Eagles June 22nd

Funny how we thought Bruce killed it forward and Lee might have his papers stamped. Thought Minchington was probably gone- I guess they are trying Dunny and minch to see if they should be retained or moved on. Both played well though so good on them. I guess Gwilt and Bruce play the same spot and t...

Re: Our Club Crest

Greg Westaway said at the 2011 AGM that the AFL has rules on how big the club logos can be on the jumper, although I think this meant more when they're "placed" on the top of a jumper design and near the sponsor logos (as ours and other clubs' are), rather than forming a part of the jumper...

would not have been much different...we wouldn't have recruited smith...but he was out injured anyway.....i believe we would have won that year with plugger in the side.....would have got to the grannie in 05 at least too with boofhead playing for us rather than against us.....who knows about 2009 ...

Re: Plugger on Fox tonight

Ahh, I wish I saw more of Plugger in the flesh at St Kilda. I only saw him play two games for us - Rounds 1 (my first ever game as an about-to-turn-6 year old) and 22 (against Sydney, just months before he went there) in 1994. I do wonder how the decade would have panned out had he stayed. People sa...

Yeah I don't think it'll be us just yet, should they mix it up between seasons. Melbourne, North Melbourne and the Bulldogs are all in more exciting and - perhaps I'm going early re: Bulldogs after Sunday - relevant positions than we are, so a marquee game early in a promising season for those teams...

Re: Is Billings and co really benefitting from this?

Can't see how getting hammered by 50+ points every week benefits anyone. It leads to a defeatist mentality which is hard to turn around. We need to be as competitive as we can be during the rebuild, which means pick our best team, even if it includes Clint Jones or Beau Maister. It works for some a...

I think the opening in the development coaches' department was left by Tony Micale's departure? The redundancies made of Wakelin and Dillon's positions might have been necessar...

Might be nitpicking unnecessarily here but the template for that image looks quite off with that of graphics released by clubs when releasing jumpers in recent years, and it's quite off compared to the actual ISC template for this year. That said, it might be a mock up image the seller has made, and...

Re: disjointed statements- article

I don't think the Herald Sun site editors rate their readership's reading capacity very highly - what they tend to do is break down every sentence and turn them into separate "paragraphs" in the layout, presumably to make each sentence easier to take in. Hence, a lot of the sentences here ...
