Nick Riewoldts last two games against North

Post: # 1096080Post SainterK »

2010

Rd 2
21 disposals, 7 goals 0, 3 brownlow votes

Rd 20
19 disposals, 7 goals 5, 2 brownlow votes

Perfect week for him to run out with his head held high and dicate the game on his terms.

They are not really a strong zoning team, and he should have a bit of space.

I'd love for him to spark something.

I just want to see him get through 2011 without injury and come back in 2012 refreshed and have a real crack. Same goes for about 40 other players.

It would be nice for Nick if he could impose himself on the game and kick a bag on Sunday.

I hope the Saints were practicing their "delivery" all last week and this week too.

Would love to have the Riewoldt of 2009 back this weekend. This is just about our Grand Final, and a true 8 point game.

north are a different team this year, they are actually playing like they want to play finals, may not be as easy for him this time around

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

yeah, (for those who feel we can still make it) we will really lose touch with the 8 if we drop this one, and we have north again in round 23 so nice if we can do a number on them

North's defenders shouldn't pose too much of a problem for Roo. Their best defender is probably Scott Thompson with Hansen as a back-up. This might be the game that ignites Roo's domination on the competition!
Lets all pray!

Reiwoldt this year is a shadow of the player from previous years. We have been waiting for him to turn it on all season, but on last game's form he would struggle to hold his place.

Roo's last game was so bad that maybe it could motivate him to start turning it around.

I think the fact that he's going up against a side which has struggled in the past in containing him is a good psychological bonus.

*fingers crossed*

I have a strong feeling Nick is going to rip them apart.

He was in career best form against North in round 2 last year. Pity he went down the week after. It was a wonderful effort to get back and I reckon a lot of people forget that. Wonder what our season would have been like if he played the whole year.

At this stage, 3 goals is a good game for him.

While there is some truth in that....

...plus the crap delivery Roo is getting this year...

There is also no disguising that Roo has by and large been out of form, and touch, and well below what he has produced in the past.

Let's all hope tat the Kanga's game is the one where he all turns it around.

Need some good delivery to roo this weekend.

He needs to slot through that first set shot. For the last 10 weeks, everytime he has lined up for goal ive been willing the universe to float that ball through the hididdle didles. And rarely has it.

Must eat away at your confidence.

The guy needs to start believing again. Unfortunate that he has to carry the burden of captaincy as well right now, but things change very quickly for the better sometimes.

Well said.

Would rather see the kids get a crack. No more reverting to old, stale players.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.
