I posted on this thread for the first time so i could be the 2000th post. :D

Lance or James??

Here is my question -

In the 1930's, St Kilda was getting uncomfortable under the iron grip of the St Kilda CC. To which VFA ground did they cast a roving eye with a petition to move there, and why was it eventually rejected?

Not quite - although we were at Toorak Park for a year while the soldiers were occupying the Junction during WWII

Brighton? Perhaps the club didn't think there was enough disposable income in the area?

Moorabin?

Didn't go because of the high levels of localised rainfall?

OK, I'm back!

Sellhurst has it closest, it has something to do with Brighton the Club, but it wasn't the ground in Brighton.

Anyone with "Football Grounds of Melbourne" just needs to find the page with the above Clubs little penguin badge on it, and you have your answer.

Elsternwick Park I think
As to why they didn't move? Ground too far from local supporters?

Starting to run out of ideas so here goes.

We all love Beer and we all love St.Kilda. What is the current link between "Fosters Brewing Group" and St.Kilda?
