the Saints had a player called Harold Bray. In the late 1940's and early
1950's Bray was third in the Brownlow and 2nd a further 2 times. On one occasion he missed out by 2 votes. Naturally he was part of an ordinary Saints team but was by all accounts are fantastic player.
He also won the Saints Best and Fairest twice, but in those days being
on the commitee or a senior player had a vote on each games Best and Fairest and being an old school gentleman would not give himself votes!

He is also in our team of the century, off hand I can not remember his jumper number (3?) but I reckon he just might deserve a spot in the "Jumper Team"

Cheers Mark

29. Someone has Aussie but what about Peckett, Burkie or Thommo. Hardest number to pick at the club. Also Gary Odgers.

As the ages vary significantly perhaps we need to make it all time. Too hard otherwise.

No 21 - Again going from memory which is fading by the day as an alternative to Jim Read. Barry Pascoe and maybe Russell Reynolds (from WA). He should have stayed with the Saints longer than he did.

A real talent that Saints never got the benefit of. So much potential until I think he got an injury that either he or the club couldn't get right and ended up at R'mond (maybe).Didn't play many games there though

I reckon Gary Colling could give Nick Riewoldt a run for his money...

265 games, club captain and like Nick has never played in a premiership side...

I'd have Ian Stewart at 5 ahead of Aussie Jones.
