A variation of the ever-popular damn.
Used mostly by old people, as (according to them) damn is too harsh a swear word to be uttered.

PS I'm old. and probably too old to be looking at a centrefold of Sam Lane...it's funny the body grows old but the brain gets stuck at 16.
