It looks fantastic. Like a montage sequence out of a Kubrick film.

Congratulations to the club for getting an excellent production team behind this.

Is that Eric Bana doing the voice-over for it?

Not bad. This off-season couldn't be any more different from the last.

Great work on the voiceover artist!

Only thing I would have like to seen - more members composited onto those first couple of beach/helicopter shots.

Scott's putting the pressure back on the Supporters

http://www.saints.com.au/news/newsartic ... fault.aspx
ST KILDA has launched a bold membership campaign that new coach Scott Watters hopes will see the club attract a record of 50,000 members in 2012.

The Saints broke their previous record of 39,227 (2010) this year with 39,263 signing up, which included 6422 new members.

Watters hopes the new campaign, entitled Draw a Line in the Sand and featuring a 45-second commercial that includes more than 2000 St Kilda supporters and the voice of international movie star Eric Bana, will help push their figure sky high in 2012.

"I could pluck any number out of the air, we're sitting just below 40 [thousand] at the moment but 50 [thousand] is probably the first one that comes to mind," Watters said on Monday.
St Kilda midfielder Nick Dal Santo wasn't in attendance the day the commercial was filmed and was instead basking in Hawaiian sun, which left Watters, Nick Riewoldt and Sam Gilbert to represent the coaches and players.

Dal Santo said the commercial was reflective of the Saints' fresh start and open mantra, and would only strengthen the club's already-dedicated supporter base.

"I think our membership has always been really strong, we've got some really loyal and passionate supporters and we haven't had a lot of success but the way they turn up week-in week-out … I know playing under the roof makes it a little easier in the winter but their support is undying," Dal Santo said.

"We appreciate everything they do. There's been a lot of changes at the club and it's a fresh start for everybody, from the players to the coaching staff and also the supporters and members.

in actuallity dampness possibly helped- made sand firmer and the drawing better, and the light was better dull than too bright.

Aint going to get 50,000. We will struggle to get 40,000. I wish the club would stop making these impossible numbers.

Great ad! All these people talking about membership numbers... I often wonder how many members St.Kilda could pull if they actually had an era of premiership success like Hawthorn in the 1980's. I mean... St.Kilda is a club that's only won the big prize once in 138 years, finished last 26 times and yet still manages to have 40,000 members and if there's a real sniff of big success in the air we can draw a crowd as big as any of them. If only we had a multiple premiership era, I'd love to see how big the club could really get.

I doubt it at all. We have finished 2nd in 2 of the last 3 years and have had around the same figure. We are a 40k club and that is about it.

I stand by my comment. I am worried for your mental health. Just be strong, let the peace and happiness overcome the pain and darkness that surrounds you. Im quite sad that you said "Im not your friend", i was just about to invite you over for some cookies and tea.
