I remember his manager saying early on in his career that Bakes arrangement with him was to controll his finances- to the point of not giving him more than a few Dollars- hundreds probably for spending and thus he did not spend more than he could have.

I liked the sentiment in the article but it wasn't written particularly well. Can't help but think a few club officials went out of their way to tinker with it and make it as PR-friendly as possible.

And I do wonder about Bakes' ability to function as an adult.

he made bakes look like an absolute moron. That will intimidate the opposition the sock coordinator will take them out if their not careful. He might poke them in the eye while straightening the oppositions collars and patting down their hair. Footy players are becoming way too metro for my liking. Just as well he plays like a wrecking ball.

All I can say is when the Mr and I lived in Sandringham ( around the corner from Bakes/Lenny) I was heavily pregnant with our first child and struggling to get something off the shelf in the supermarket when I heard a " Can I grab that for you" and it was Lenny - he wished me well and went on his way - ahhhh Lenny if I wasn't happily married with 2 kids - fwiw he is on the Footy show tonight ( so I heard from my wedding photographer as we had the same one and he is flashing around a few wedding pics)

lol can't say I have time to stalk when my hubby is away all week and I single parent our 2 children and study - having said that if I was to stalk anyone it would be Lenny
