Waste of talent

Post: # 1314812Post Siposstar#2 »

Does Adam Schneider realise that if he was fit enough and determined enough he could be as good as Gary ablett
He is a class above nick dal santo. Surely if you played afl you would want to be the best?
Sometimes he seems as if he's happy just to be a GOP player.
I also worry about siposs as well. I feel like he has the tools but worry about whether he ha te feel for the game and how to get the pill. He's composed when he has it but he never has it!!!!
As for Sam Gilbert. I always knew e was a bad kick but geez I thought he'd be able to hit a handball to a teammate 3 metres away under no pressure.
And oh dear almost forgot to mention I saw him take a kick in tonight. What has become of us????
Also saw Blake take a 'handball' in.

The three positives out of tonight.

1) Roberton
2) our captains not finished yet
3) these cocky Richmond supporters think they're actually good. Can't wait till a decent team destroys them.
About 10 teams in the afl would have made them pay for that last quarter.

Schneider is one of our best decision makers. Also great by foot. Needs to be match fit and start (not be a sub). 2 more games and he has 100 games up for the Saints and eligable for father - son rule (Swans will not be).

Tony Lockett kicks 10 goals

Schnieder is a super talent but not as gifted as Dal and no where near the great man.... It was nice to see him come on and actually create and hit targets....

Siposs is an extremely good reader of play and finds it instinctively.., his biggest concern, athletic ability... Whether he has the speed and endurance to win lots of ball

Jeez, he would never be THAT good. But I agree that he has played a little below his full potential.

He was very handy as a sub tonight.

Firstly we have discussed the MCG St.kilda home game issue over and over. Saints supporters do not go to the G....its an issue. A bigger issue is we would have made more out of tonights game than we will after 3 home games at Edihad

Siposs has a long way to go in learning how to play the game consistently well EVERY week.
In our good years 2009-10 Schneider was very very good.
Roberton was very good.

Maybe we should just ignore the Blake 'handball in' its not worth the stomach ulcer.

Schneider lacks true proffessionalism off field to live up to his talent and to be fair he's never had an injury free pre season.

It would completely shock me. He has credits. Why am I repeating myself from 12 months ago.

Because many are too dumb to understand this fact.

At least he didn't completely butcher 3 forward 50 entries like Milera.

When Scot was walking out on the ground with Milney at 3 qtr time.... It was easy to tell SW was not happy with Him. He had asked some pretty forward questions I reckon, and Milney was trying to explain himself. It was an obvious conversation from the body language.

He was towelled up.

I thought he was good last night, that one mistake obviously aside. He wasn't on his Pat Malone making errors - every player on both sides did it.

They've got the Dogs next week, a big win there and they might have a lot of confidence come the Pies in round 4. They feel a bit like St Kilda 2004 to me.

Yep but does he have credits and wasnt these exact sam,e things said last year and as you know BM small forwards struggle when the side struggles. 3 smalls was never going to work if the side is no good. I for one thought we wouldnt be this bad so I thought it may work. We need to get a medium making forward in there somehow.

They are more stkilda 2003
No way will they have a run like we did.
We had more than 4 stars

Reiwoltd
Cotchin
Deledio
Martin

And tuck and maric go ok

Compared with

Hammill
Gehrig
Jones
Harvey
Hayes
Dal santo
Montagna
Reiwoltd
Kosi was seen as a gun back then
Milne
Goddard
Ball

Powell was our tuck
Maguire was looking like a future all Australian
Baker was the best tag in afl
Depressing really that list couldn't win a flag
With a decent fitness regime they could have coached themselves to one.

Richmond have Fremantle in Perth soon as well
I live with two tigers supporters so please for my sanity can Collingwood or them Smash them. The lids already off.

Huh? We had 12 wins last year and a very high percentage, to finish 9th.

I realize you are referring to the Tigers usual position at the end of the season.

I know that my grandpa is 86 years old lives in Drouin his wife has recently had a stroke
He organised a carer for the night. And caught the train to and from the game.
It's called bandwagon in 2009 we would have had twice the amount of people there.
Have that many people's circumstances changed??
I'm sure that their are people with decent excuses but as for a lot of people they are just soft.

Sorry to pull a heart string. Didn't realise the post was aimed purely at you.

Do wonder if he could have worked harder on the track and been a gun mid rather than a good half-forward over the years

Yes they are.
Unfortunately we have 15000 of these people, but most other Victorian teams don't.
Again st kilda is unlucky...what are we to do?

Ofcourse, the problem with generalizations is the fact that they don't apply to everyone, it does seem highly improbable though, that the reasons you list are the major reason for the nearly 20% drop in home attendances since the high water mark of 2010.

Whether someone goes to a football game or not is their own decision and they don't have to justify themselves to anybody, but at the risk of offending you, I would suggest the more likely explanation for the sharp declination, is due to a reticence of people to attend matches they don't expect their team to win.

Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friends.
