Just because you criticise certain aspects of the club's performance doesn't make you any less of a supporter!

Totally agree but bringing up guys you dont rate at all to prove a point is knocking the club for no reason. It would be nice if you posted at least 50% positive but if you like his posting style then good on you. Many or most cant handle mine.

For every one former player going well there are a couple who are nowhere to be seen.

Can we keep this thread to people we might actually have some chance of getting.
No point just naming names. "Jeremy Cameron' "Buddy". We are zero chance. Keep is at least vaguely realistic.

Difference there is you've named 10 sandringham players with 3 gamesbetween them...

I've listed 400 saints games...

What you've done though is highlighted why we are, where we are...

I think we should have a good hard look at GWS list
I dont think they can just keep 30 blokes all of the same age.
They need to trade some of their kids for some more mature players.

late to this thread but imo:

Large defender, 2 would be really useful
Another inside mid

I can't see how we're going to trade for a GWS or Suns mid anytime soon - I would imagine they would want a ready made player in return rather than another draft pick..?

Only scenario would be for saints to offer massive coin and there's then pressure for GWS/Suns to make the trade happen or risk them leaving their club for nothing and going into pre-season draft. A la Luke ball.

All seem to be going alright

Worth a look

Funny what a person will do to try and prove our club stuffed up. Puts Cripps in the going alright category even though said he was a dog. Also funny he writes this the week Hutchings and Lynch play and do ok. there are some who just want to knock the club. Dont see why they would even follow the club.

Hilarious.

Knocked Cripps before his photo had even been uploaded on draft day.

Anything to pretend he has a solid argument....

Hmm, look up the definition of narcissist before you post.

Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Watts would be the player I would be looking at.
Let him learn his game from Fisher and you could have a real player on your hands.

Talk of Buddy and Cameron is just pointless as we have no way of getting them.

Unless some mid-range youngster from GWS or GC want to leave I would not be looking at trading or free agency at all.
The top kids we can't afford, we would want to keep our first rounder and players like Armo and Stevens, and the bottom ones we don't want.

To be honest I dont see much on that FA list who I think is worth throwing big money at except harry taylor, buddy and scott thompson.

And i think we have zero chance with those 3.

I really think the idea of FA is to top up when you are contender - like the bombers have done with bj and the hawks have done with lake.

not much in it for clubs in our current position.

well checking out the mighty Black Swans come from behind to beat the Vics for the first time since 1991 there were a three standouts who i think could be worth looking at for a late pick or even a rookie spot....

Wayde Twomey ( 184cm / 82kg - 27 so a bit old) was BOG is known as a defender put pushed forward and kicked 5 goals
Aaron Black (192 cm / 82 kg - 22years old) was dominant with 2 goals and a heap of possessions
Marlon Motlop (179cm / 81kg - 23 years old) was solid

all three have been on an AFL list only to be delisted ... there were a few of the Vic boys who looked good but i dont know their names except Cockie who was pretty good

Agreed but doubt we would be prepared to pay double what he is worth whereas at least two other Melbourne clubs including the club he barracked for as a kid, which has more room than any in its cap, are already throwing the kitchen sink at him.
