Positive signs

Post: # 1344696Post older saint »

Liked the look of Webster and newness again - once they get AFL bodies - year or 2 still look good and good skills.
Saunders made an impact in the last qtr as the sub too.

Ross gets in hard but his disposal still lets him down and must improve

Dunnell was good - may be a player who plays better at the higher level .

Stanley shows versatility and just needs a bigger tank.

Dempster's best game for the year.

Roberton been recruit of the season.

add to that Wright and we have a handful of players under 21 whoing good signs.

Mitch Brown put on a pretty good interview too.

Yes there was.

Armo was good again tonight also, we're so much better when he is firing.

Some of his delivery under no pressure was poor but like how he always looks to get the ball moving quickly after a mark or free kick

Very good thread and the OP is spot on but there will still be supporters that won't be able to see the good things that are happening inside these loses and will come out and call for the coach to be sacked.

Those supporters can go follow the filth for all I care. Some great positives from the younger brigade and some of the older ones and Watters himself.

We played well & in the end not having those 4 points might be more helpful.

Dunnell was useless, shat himself twice resulting in him dropping uncontested marks.

Exactly! I'm happy to keep losing games like we did today for the next season or two and end up in the bottom 4 to pick up the high draft picks.

As long as I keep seeing players have a crack and go down fighting and also see improvement in players and see new players get a go and turn into keepers.

You have to wonder if people watch the same game...

They do but some wear beer goggles and some don't...

You must have had the googles on Bob if you can't see any positives!

You know very well…

The 3rd pick in the draft is more valuable than the fourth or fifth…

A number of positives....

Tackle pressure, clearances (considering first ball adv), contested work, F50 pressure, defensive cover...

Some negatives....

Lack of structure, no +1 in the last 2 mins, some decision making

yeah ok. don't think an extra win here or there is going to make much of a diff. We don't want to be a total basket case.

You're probably looking for a positive out of it but does that mean we lose every single gane from here on end? It would still be nice to win 6 or 7 games. We wouldn't want the total loser mentality to set in.
