My friend Lisa and I have sponsored Jack this year and we play footy for the Sunbury Lion's Womens Football Club. At the Hall of Fame we approached him to see if he would be able to attend a training session.
Tonight Jack came to training, taking him about an hour and a half from Brighton to Sunbury in peak hour traffic. He wasn't too fussed by that.
He greeted everyone with a smile and spoke very well. He took us through some drills that the guys do a training which I absolutely loved.
He then hung around after for some pizza and was very happy to pose for photos and sign autographs. All the girls had a ball and really enjoyed the training session. I just wanted to share this with you to brighten up what has been a dark week.
I look toward the future with hope, that we have such an outstanding young man playing at our football club.
He had a few red wines to calm his nerves before he drove home.
