Will Ben be allowed to play this week ?
I'm not sure if this has been covered in another thread ?
What are people's thoughts on this ? I heard on radio through the game he was subbed off with concussion.
Then post match I heard Scott say he was cleared eyed and seemed fine. Sounded like he was trying to talk Ben's way into next week to me.
Was it officially concussion and therefore mandatory week off ?
I'm thinking we need him especially this week as Kosi could play back and help out maybe ?
We could get killed down there without Fisher as well. I'm not confident with Rhys down there.
Thoughts ?

Firstly Kosi will not play back even if all the other backmen are under 6 foot tall. Ben will play this week if he trains well. i reckon he would be about a 75% chance based on nothing at all. And there is no mandatory week off for concussion.

he will have to pass the concussion test - if he passes he will play if not he will miss

Re: Will Ben be allowed to play this week ?
does anyone know how he was after the game ?
When he ran off in the 2nd , I thought he might be alright , and when he was subbed off I was thinking that it may have been to protect him till next week !
By that time in the game we were well ahead so he was no real loss .

im more concerned about next week ... freo strangled the life out of north holding them to 4 goals for the game ... given our skill errors this year we may struggle to kick thatShanghaiSaint wrote:i'm not looking forward to this weeks task.... So Plugger you say there is no mandatory week off but StTrav says if he fails the test he won't play.
I thought they had brought in a rule along the lines of what StTrav says.

What St Trav and what I said is both true. He has to pass a test. A mandatory week off would mean you wouldnt bother with the test.

The way I read that, is that there is a mandatory week off for concussion once it is proved.
No worries. I'm with it
Anyway if Dr Watters' diagnosis is correct he will play

Saints will name him this week, even if he is in full body plaster. Whether he plays is another story. They picked Fisher last week. How would you know.

He was at the movie night tonight, said he was feeling good. Wasn't convinced he felt the best, but I think he is keen to play.
