I used to be a huge rap for this bloke - but sometimes he just doesn't even try.

I reckon he's made up his mind just quietly.

Or he's been told.

Has been soft the last 2months with little chasing effort. And way way too many loopy handpasses missing the target when he is put under a little pressure.

The chasing effort after Judd out marked him in the last quarter on the Wing was sad..... Ex champ, not even trying....

Some kids busting a gut, he floated around HB and got cheap kicks, he had no tag tonight, he was pathetic no doubt about it...

Sad

I have been an admirer and defender, thought his dropping in 2010 was poor and he was a scapegoat, as he did...

But he is obviously leaving StK in 2014 and that means
2001 super draft
2-L. Ball... Collingwood
5- X.Clarke .... Brisbane.... Knee
13- N.Dal Santo.... Sydney/Adelaide
21- M. Maguire.... Brisbane
2002 Draft
1- B.Goddard.... Collingwood

Agree, at one stage might have been in the last quarter, judd outmuscled him for a mark and the ran off his mark and kicked it towards the forward line.

If I was the coach, I would have dragged Dal because he made no attempt to stand on the mark, nor smother or anything to try and hinder Judd.

It was woeful playing by a player who should know better.

We're towards the end of the season, so frankly too frigging late and my patience with his lack of commitment is wearing thin. I don 't want o see him as trade bait but as a supporter I don't want o see half hearted efforts either from someone seems yo be living on reputation only.

Yeh not sure why a professional player should need to be dropped before they buy in to a new coach but maybe its time to happen again. Im really curious where hes at cause his effort and intensity is nothing compared to his capabilities. Love the bloke but he is damn frustrating to watch at the moment. His lack of chase and second efforts is not good enough for a professional on a pretty healthy wage. Hope hes not going anywhere at years end but seriously needs to get his sh#t together.

If he gets a weeks rest, it'd be without pay if I were IC

But wouldn't happen

Fortnight at Sandy to hammer the point home on expected effort.... He is a supposed leader FFS

Set the standard, he has a responsibility to a young player group, not only those playing... But those watching from the stands

Seriously he wasn't that bad. He got plenty of ball and while he made a few mistakes it was under a lot of pressure from Carlton after quarter time. They were actually very hard at the ball and i thought as an undersized and make shift defensive unit they did well.

not fisher or Gilbert and Gwilt dempster and roberton having to do the rebounding and key defending roles at the same time we are on the back foot constantly. We turned the ball over too easily when kicking it forward and it rebounded quickly back the other way.

Dal started this season terribly but i would say he is still being judged on his earlier season. Has been okay the last month or so. he doesn't look like a 30 possession midfielder any more but it's hard to from the back line.
