Very tall side. Tall backline (Ave 192cm), two ruckman, three tall forwards and a 194cm wingman.

Ruckmen cant play on the bench really anymore. if you want Longer in the side he has to have a spot in the 18. That side put up really shows the lack of mids.

Wouldn't mind betting Lenny will start a the sub a few times next year. That way he can come on an have an impact whilst we give the likes of Curren, Ross etc more time through the midfield.

I like it…

I don't know if Bruce is a walk-up by any means yet…
I love Nat Wright…
Not sure if all of Hickey/Longer/Stanley should play in the one side…
Hopefully we get 2 mids from this draft that can play from day 1.

I would change a couple to maybe

FB Dempster Delaney Geary
HB Wright Fisher Roberton
C Markworth Hayes Savage
HF Montagna Riewoldt Gilbert
FF Stanley Lee Schneider
FOLL Longer Steven Armitage
Int Curren Newnes Pick 3
Sub: Pick 18/19
EME Ross, Hickey, Saunders

I would have it fairly similar however I think Markworth will have to prove himself in VFL again first. SO:

FB Dempster Delaney Geary
HB Fisher Bruce Roberton
C Wright Hayes Savage
HF Montagna Riewoldt Stanley
FF Curren Lee Schneider
FOLL Longer Steven Armitage
Int Hickey Newnes Pick 3
Sub: Gilbert

Struggling to fit all the tall in the team!

Could be a very interesting pre-season in 2014 as there will be a bit of competition for various positions in the seniors. Let's see who puts their hand up.

I really like the way the list is evolving, however, i can't equate list evolution with success, they may not get it right straightaway.

We will lack in some areas that will become obvious as the season progresses.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
