Across all teams that's happened 54 times. Against St Kilda it's happened 10 times (more than any other team).Enrico_Misso wrote:When 4 players kick 4 or more it is absolutely exceptional.
So my question is - How many times have FOUR StKilda players kicked 4 or more goals in the same game?
Even better, provide the details - year / round / opponent / players / goals
For St Kilda - three times. Two of them are the two that kosi posted, in 2004 rounds 8 and 9. (How good were those first ten rounds that year? Best fun I've had at the footy.)
The other was in 1987, round 7 against Richmond. Plugger kicked 6, Nicky Winmar, Kenny Sheldon and Rocket Rod Owen all kicked 4.
That's all I can find. A couple of years later, Hawthorn were the only team to have five players kicking four or more in one game. In Hobart in round 6 1991, they kicked 36 goals overall and beat Fitzroy by 157 points. Jarman and Ben Allan kicked 7 each, Dunstall 6, Hudson 5 and Anthony Condon (!) kicked 4.
