Re: Match Thread: Saints v Bombers
Well, wasn't that just the best quarter of football we've played since 2010.
Riewoldt is beyond praise. He has lifted the young blokes to a higher level
I don't think we can win it, but I don't think the Bombers are quite so certain....

With a more solid fitness foundation I'm a few years we will be a great team.
I know you can't judge a team fRom 1 game but bombers aren't a contender by this.

Re: Match Thread: Saints v Bombers
said before the game that the game last week was an abomination....I took it with a grain of salt thinking of course they are going to say that. But it's true we are doing all the things we didn't do last week..running off to create a target manning up when needed..they are busting a gut tonight and if our kicking at goal raises above Auskick level we could have the bombres scrambling to the pill cabinet.

So the ins Billings, Hickey, Schneider and Bruce all showing a fair bit.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
Re: Match Thread: Saints v Bombers
Forgot Jimmy Webster.
Our young blokes gives me real optimism for the future.
With a couple of more stars in drafts and FA in the next couple of years, maybe we have a bit to look forward to.
Still think Eseendope will win, the AOD pigs blood will kick in and the cheat will win another one.
I will never go to an Essendope away game ever again. I dont care if they are not infracted, we all know they CHEATED with ILLEGAL and BANNED drugs.
They are a blight on the game and make me sick to my stomach

Lance or James??

Re: Match Thread: Saints v Bombers
Jones has done some good and bad Lenny is struggling more. Brucey is good, Del good, Webster good. The class of Luke Dunstan is amazing and Billings and Eli wow. All three are going to be at least very good players IMO. Then Acres might be the best of the lot. Delaney and Bruce excellent pick ups as far as structure goes.

Re: Match Thread: Saints v Bombers
Both sides had a six day turnaround, but the cheaters had to fly back from Perth.
That is a big deal, they are all taller than average, and even with compression stockings, sitting cramped up for that long WILL delay recovery, lactic acid removal, blood flow to legs= slower muscle repair.
Run them ragged and anything's possible.

Re: Match Thread: Saints v Bombers
Very good quarter by Geary. The type of football he needs to play, but had not been this season.
Lenny keeps giving the ball off to bad spots.
Stanley on the improve.
Schneider makes a BIG difference.
Our ball use was great...till we hit the HF line, when the roost often came in.

Re: Match Thread: Saints v Bombers
Delaney is probably our best player, with Stanley and Schnieder ATM
Agree... Best half of footy by Stanley.... What he can be and not what he is.
Forgot Curran.... Very good job again. Would be high up in the B&F
Bruce has been good too

Re: Match Thread: Saints v Bombers
We will win this!
Their only key forward is Daniher, and Delaney has him covered. They can't spare Ryder from the ruck, nor Hurley from defence... though they may have to 'rest' Hurley up there as he can't keep up with Roo. Hurley is spent by half time... will not run out the third quarter on Roo, let alone the whole game.
They played in the heat last week, and are already struggling to run with us once we started to counter attack.
Rhys Lightning continuing to improve each week. Great to see!
Jimmy 'the cat' Webster. Must have springs in his boots! If he goes to ground, springs up to his feet in a nano second. (Does it every week.)
Just keep running Saintas, hold your nerve, and they will run out of juice. This is ours(!) Drugs free!
