Re: DWOODROW
I just hope he can keep plugging away. I know he's got it in him. As he said his main game is to play consistent footy and so far he is providing that.
He's not looking at personal conquests, he just loves St Kilda and wants to do his best.
Hope this year turns out to be his best for him and his career.

He showed at the beginning of last season he had it in him to go to the next level. It was that nasty knee injury that put him back so far for the rest of the season.DWOODROW wrote:I just hope he can keep plugging away. I know he's got it in him. Re: DWOODROW
The sky is the limit for Armo this year given the start he's had. He probably has at least 9 brownlow votes from the first 6 rounds alone.

I hope so but does he normally attract umpires votes?FQF wrote:The sky is the limit for Armo this year given the start he's had. He probably has at least 9 brownlow votes from the first 6 rounds alone.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: DWOODROW
Would I be correct in saying he collected the second most possessions of any St Kilda player in a game today? Steven had 47 last year which I believe is the most, collecting 45 would be the second most which is fairly impressive for a guy playing for a club which is 142 years old!

Love how he's running out the games, sprinting all the way to the finish. Got a massive tank now.
Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"

He's stepped up amazingly DWOODROW. I always thought he was good but didn't realise he could go to this level.

Re: DWOODROW
He is just a bull. Love it when guys tackle him, he thrusts forward horizontally and fires off the hand pass. If they stick the tackle he manages to pull them down into his back. He's a bull of a man now and just goes about asserting himself. Just the right amount of aggression and hardness.

Re: DWOODROW
Some posters wanted to trade Armo and Steven last trade period.
Oh My God. WOuld have been the worst decision ever.
Becoming the new Lenny. I could not give higher praise than that.
With Mav by his side, we have a couple of tough inside mids going about their business.
Didn't see todays game but Armo tore up the Injectors last week, sounds like he gave the Dogs mids another lesson today.
Playing great football and becoming the true mids leader.

Joey and Jack each had 47 in the Kosi+Milne+Blake game against Freo. Apart from that the over-40 club is mostly Harvs. Slotting in at equal 3rd on that list is a pretty good effort.

Re: DWOODROW
Taking nothing away from Joey or Jack that was against a reserve grade Freo who rested most of the team.bergholt wrote:Correct:mad saint guy wrote:Would I be correct in saying he collected the second most possessions of any St Kilda player in a game today? Yesterday's performance was a match winning game.

Re: DWOODROW
little story in todays paper about Dave
"He was designated to front the media last Monday and was reluctant following a hair cut late in the previous week
after getting through the presser he then ensured that when he go to training on Tuesday his head had been given a very neat shave/ close cut"
seems to be going around at Seaford-- Templeton's cut is obvious and Curren looks to have had a close cut too.
